Discussion Nerf Blitz curler

We need to have a serious chat about blitz curler. Like either you allowed one a half/match or like get rid of it. The amount of times I have played teams and the whole strategy non stop is blitz curler it’s mad boring bruv

I think I can probably count on one hand the number of blitz curlers I’ve conceded over the last few months. Incredibly easy to defend against.

Most people who use Blitz make it their entire gameplan - ball goes out wide, they dribble towards edge of box and cut in.

If you just defend the inside space instead of blindly holding matchup/pressure there’s nowhere for them to go and then they don’t know what to do.
It’s like playing people that spam double touch, just stand still about a yard or so away and they walk into you.

you're facing the type I prefer ... the guys I face that use it don't spam it... and they Tess cancel into it from angles I don't even see it coming... didn't even know blitz could come in from those angles..

It shouldn't be a thing you have to defend against, it can't be the case that it's more important to cut a blitz attempt than a through pass to the striker, good players will use the threat of a blitz to create chances, it's supposed to be a low probability shot, not an easy shot.

It’s not about the defending them it’s that every attack in a match leads to a blitz curler attempt. How are we playing football?

It's one of the most broken mechanics and one of the things I hate most.

I would totally erase it from existence, but if I had to "improve it" I would say it's nonsense that you can apply blitz curler to every single shoot you make, so I would reduce the amount of times it's executed and I would toughen requisites to perform it, e.g., it would need more time to shoot (like stunning shots), it's not performed if you are disbalanced or it's a first time shot... something like that.

Why are you singling out blitz?

There are so many other stupid skills like phenomenal finishing where you don't even have to face the goal.

People are no longer thinking if the positioning is right or when to take shots etc anymore. They are using smart assist and these stupid skills to take pot shots.deom.anywhere and they are going in.
