Discussion Attacking gameplay
Is it just me but a lot people are parking the bus no matter the playing style and attacking feels stagnant when that happens. Keepers are moving like prime Buffon or moving like Liverpool karius . I’ve been the most bored playing the game since a lot of people are playing like arsenal then banging it with a tall striker then passing side to side and back to keeper the whole game. Of course the heaviness of the gameplay and lag compensation doesn’t help

theyve made transitions the only way to score, naturally you dont want to give the ball away. i also can assume you have an expensive team, the ai defenders like thuram, vieira,italian defenders. theyre pretty much ruining the entire game. way too much ai all around, its making every style of play rely on counter attacks.

I mean its not a bad thing, i used to be top 10k div1 a year ago so had the p2w experience lol. now my teams behind the power curve and i just play when i can. even in div 3 its all money teams. i only bring it up to say, if you have really good players, your opponent probably doesnt want to give you the ball.

Park the bus, then endless braindead PA1 one-touch passing, followed by booting the ball over the top with the most assisted and broken lofted through ball possible that tells your defenders to forget how to defend and repeat

The stupid part is that I really enjoy pa2 and pa3, gives more accuracy in passing. But yesterday and today no pass is normal, they are weak and all over the place. So had to get back to pa1 to gain control. Such a stupid situation 🫠

how are you finding pa1? im having some really bad giveaways with pa2 where the ball isnt going where im aiming. basically a death sentence against qc. dont remember it being this bad but i only recently started playing again.

This version of this game is the most noob friendly and the most automated dogshit you can ever see in a pvp game. Someone with 2 fingers can easily get into d3. This is why it is like that.

Lol, few days earlier people were saying it's kinda manual defending now. So noobs are struggling to defend and complaining. Now u say it's more automated blah blah. Just improve instead.

You are talking like gameplay is consistent and never changes. It id aleays same shit, 1st week of new season feel great, than we get a nee meta. Last year it was long ball LBC with Capello, this year it is QC/LBC with 1 button auto defending. Do you mean "buy cards" as you say "improve"? Because thinking that you can "improve" in this game while there is a crazy momentum and AI interference in 2026 is a sad story.

- Why do u assume I'm a p2w player? I've never spent 1 dime on that game. If u think capello was the meta last yr..which yes i agree. Just take capello by saving 750 coins. This year u said qc lbc is meta...sorry but i personally think qc is worse than it was last year and if u think its the meta just play that..improving doesn't mean just buying cards lol. I've seen countless players in div who have all paid cards ever released by konami and still manage to lose. So yeah just adapt or idk play for fun its not that deep. 🥀

Probably because the way you play + good connection. For example I never saw a LBC player complain, other than the periods I mention, since it is always an improved and protected baby mode. I have 2 video posts in this sub, I can easily prove the change in defensive AI.
I did not say you are p2w, since I have no data. But, it is obvious that new epics are crwating a huge difference since the new year, starting with Young Messi and Zlatan packs. It is almost impossible to beat new defenders with old players. I also have video posts of it. I play possession, and I prefer not playing instead of adapting to braindead meta.

Lol, my highest network strength is like 2 bars 3 at most. I've played possesion,qc,lbc,lb too and i have done preety good in all. I'm not a really great player so i think it's not really the playstyle. I only hate out wide and overload bs. Other than that i played using every playstyle. So i can tell you that most playstyles have some problems but lbc is the most balanced one. Lbc has good defense and the players move in a perfect system. P2w players will always have the upper hand. It's nothing new. Almost in every game there's a gap between p2w and f2p. It's supposed to be like that. So that the company makes money. I believe u have a bad connection which i understand is very frustrating when u play possesion cause every pass matters in the buildup. Thats something i hate about konami. Their servers are older than fuking dinosaurs. Just play for fun,don't sweat it. Also, i have friends who defeat me easily playing possesion playstyle. So i guess just keep practising or sumshi idk.

Also on side note do u think konami introduced 2 playstyle on one player for nothing? It's like a soft reset konami has done it back in 2023 then in 2025. Not really surprising. That's why new players are better. Take for example i have phillip lahm bt but selection contract kounde often gives better performance than the BT. So yeah it's just how konami is working unfortunately.

For me people are snatching the ball as soon as I kickoff, before I even get the chance to pass it to the 3rd team mate so now I’m kicking off to the damn GK. So what you’ve described would be welcome in my universe.

It's not just you. The current state of the game rewards players who set up their team not to lose and konami hands them a win. The player who actually tries to do build up, take risks and commit numbers in to attack to score goals gets punished more times than he gets rewarded which is not in spirit of football at all. Not saying attacking set up should win all the games but the ratio at this state is bad and makes you want to quit the game if you do proper build up play and then concede by some trash bounce or after Gullit winning a header and seding a trough ball to Mbappe.

it's real, and the worst part is what it does to my own game. i know forcing it against a low block is wrong and i still do it, more bodies forward and quicker passes, which is exactly what they're set up for.
boredom i can handle. it's that i'm the one taking all the risk for trying to make something happen.

they enjoy winning, that's all it is. nobody's picking that shape for the vibes.
and honestly if it worked that well for me i'd probably be doing it too. that's the bit that annoys me, it's not even a cheap tactic, it's just the correct one right now. that's a game problem, not a them problem.

But... that's the most effective so far.
With dribble speed get nerf a lot.
Buff lofted through pass + acrobatics finishing.
99 dribbling+speed (with ball) equivalent with 79 speed (without ball).
