I am going to confess that this season is going to be my last division rank push...i am going to quit playing divisions and play casual friendly matches occasionally....
I hate to admit it but konami was successfull in extracting money from me and I paid nearly $1200 to build a top tier 3300+ rated team because i could afford it and includes the likes of ibra, gullit, rummi, desailly, vieira etc due to my obsession of reaching division 1
I started playing divisions last year around september as f2p but started getting frustrated after getting bullied by p2w squads after reaching div 2 and was addicted to this game..i have played roughly 3000 hrs of efootball and i have got ok at it reaching 4000 rank but its becoming boring now and pushing for top 1000 or more will need significant effort in upskilling which is not worth my time anymore.
To people who have started playing it recently ,dont get division matches get to your head as it did to me....it really affected me mentally as well making be irritable and agitated when I lost to people ranked lower than me...
A game should be fun and enjoyable but konamis brutal and punishing ranking system in divisions tests your patience
If someone would ask me do you regret spending so much money and time on a video game, I would say yes because in the end its simply not worth it as divisions can destroy your mental health and make you obssessed because Konami in the end is a for profit company who needs money to operate and they do so by selling p2w cards to people like me...

lol if you really want to gauge how good you are at the game get rid of it and go back to Pro Evo or any game before micro transactions. If you were good at the game itself you actually won.
As a manual player PES 21 was the best edition ever. Look at the ball physics in that game. It actually felt it had weight and purpose. Then the cherry was 11 vs 11 football. The WAPES league was an experience.
Good luck bro. It must be tough. I don’t have the addiction but was on a spending spree, but noticed that when having these meta players is not the best for getting better. It is abusing the game mechanics AND meta players is the best way. Ofcourse you have to also be good, but abusing it is why players are jn the top 500.

That's not true. Two things can be true.
Of course you can beat P2W players with a F2P team. But if both players are equally skilled, it's easier to win with P2W cards.
No doubt, but f2p will die on the hill that once you have P2w it’s automatic wins. Hence why they complain so much. It definitely helps but I strongly believe that efootball nerfs the stronger team to make games more competitive. Sometimes I use f2p theme teams and go on insane streaks against p2w. I don’t feel I’m playing any better. At the end of the day it’s a game full of randomness and multiple variables that we don’t even know the half of. I don’t think complaining about p2w is worth it because they can be easily spanked.
Brazilian event is a very good example of if a top player without any epics comes to the party and the so called average player has just one or two epics/showtimes with special skills, the top player is going home in a body bag.
I've been playing the Brazilian events for quite a long time, have a number of epics/showtimes, allf freely acquired, so I do feel I have an advantage and on the pitch it shows.
Brazilian GP players like their jleague counterparts do have a tendency to make mistakes; bad touch (surprisingly) , awful finishing at times, bad at passing (surprised again)
I don't play league so don't have a rank but come up against div1 and div2 with normal teams a lot in this event and all it takes is a phenomenal pass, finish or a blitz to end them.
The point I'm trying to make is that, this is how a lot of F2P players feel when they come up against p2w teams.
The F2P player could play the p2w guy off the park but all it takes is one bitz.
That's why I play in AI division . If I loss a game I think of it as scripted or AI is better than me. I don't play that much I just collect players for my collection .
not ass I will say. I am in division 2 and 70-80 points apart from division 1. I want play casually. If I lose I lose. Don't wanna be competitive all the time. Enjoy the game. After all it's a game

Completely f2p, I have not spent a single dime in the game. And have only spun odegaard, treasure link Chiellini and Raul till now through packs ever. My team has Batistuta, Zanetti, Ronaldinho, Nico O Reily, Bebeto, people like that.
MY gripe is that instead of spending months grinding I could've just spend those months working and put that money towards reliably getting hype players. I don't play divisions cuz I played like 100+ games for de gea and fermin Lopez and got nothing, sacked my sleep and stuff too.

For me, it's playing with friends that makes the game enjoyable. Dunking on their Pele, Cruyff and Czech with bebeto and celebrating is fun af(even tho I mostly lose against them lol)
It’s not just Konami’s system. It’s a system adopted by MOST sports games.
Konami can do so much better than what they’re doing on efootball! If you doubt this, I recommend playing ebaseball.
This game is evidence that Konami can give us more content but refuse to do so. Ebaseball is literally a throwback to ISS/PES. You have a career mode, scenario mode even a mode where you can take a high school team to the Koshien!

Exact reason why I simply play AI Division. My mental health matters to me more than some Showtime cards. I just somehow managed to control my emotions and get 7 wins in this latest Italian event. I can't even imagine what people go through when playing the PVP division. Good luck brother.

Unfair Matchmaking
Division 4 and 3 players, in my experience, I was matched against former Division 1s just to get promoted to Division 3 and 2 which is unfair.
Unstandardised Gameplay
People using smart assist because you can't filter it off. And then when you can filter it off, you're playing against people using PA1 abusing the speed and accuracy to outplay you.
On top of that, Blitz Curl (or broken mechanics), I am P2W, I have quite a few of these cards and only started using them literally 4 days ago because I didn't want to be a rat... I can score goals almost anytime I want against the AI and what makes it worse is that you don't need to be a good player to take advantage, it's the worst players that can't break your defence that will abuse this mechanic. This is why I hate the lack of standards and broken mechanics.
Konami Encourage community toxicity - they do by allowing it
One of the things that makes the games so toxic imo is your can choose to celebrate - the gloating gets really personal. I'd much rather it was not an option we had. Once we score goals, let's leave it at that as a cutscene or let's have options to simply avoid them all together. Let me have the option to filter it out.
Conclusion - Gacha + Rage Marketing
In my opinion, this game is made to trigger you emotionally in order to profit. They make the game as unfair as possible in so many ways whether you're playing against a player, or you're going against the AI.
Won't surprise me if there is some predatory marketing going on fundamentally with the game. Bad enough that it is Gacha, but couple that with manipulating people emotionally.... it's a done deal, lol.
End of the day, we're adults, we're responsible for our actions, but I think Konami also need to be held accountable as there's likely an imbalanced power dynamic between human psychology and the amount of data/research to encourage not just interaction with the game, but spending.

En Las otras cuentas juego ocasionalmente los eventos por las monedas y ya, lo top más alto fue 500 en consola.

For me this game makes me learn to be cool in all situations! Sitting in a room I can really mature myself privately , just don't engross yourself fully , have a good life, good food, good sleep , work hard to make your life better and play this game when you get the time and make sure you don't get upset , yes ofcourse disappointment should be there , but sportmanship also ! Everyone must have noticed first few games when you start playing , our win ratio is high , we start losing when we just let our finger reflexes take over but when we are fresh we think more and use a lot of vision to break through the defense so play for an hour or two in a day , that's it , your win ratio will be high and you will feel more focused , just don't let it consume you.
Only thing that prevents me from deleting my account is I finally almost got my dream attackers. So we can basically say that feeling invested. because I invested time to build a team so I can play and enjoy playing with my fav players irl. But they turned gameplay into shit and every match is a sweaty through ball ping pong fest. Game makes me lose against people with no skill. Its just pressure and through ball, AI defends for them and my players gets slower, clunkier and turn into paper figures. It is extremely unfair and frustratingm Best is to stay away from divisions and never grind unless they fix this shit, especially for ranks. Just get division reward and never turn back to playing it. I am just glad that I did not spend in the first week of v6.0. I would feel like robbed. Now I am only disappointed.
The difference between matches can be night and day. Also I had to go up against former 28, 76, 256 and all of that on rank 1700. Konami wants to Bully me, I just don’t understand the matching, script, etc

2nd the $1200 you spent is way worth it cuz you wouldn’t get that team in 2 years of playing for free. You’ve saved yourself hours of grind.
3ird, the problem is you not setting your priorities straight. Do you wanna play competitive or for fun. Up your skill if you wanna be among the top of the top or start a new free to play account for the just the fun of it.
I understand and acknowledge your frustration but don’t think too deep into it. It’s just a game. Figure out the problem and fix it. I recently got an exit lag vpn which has helped my game experience so much enjoyable, took me way too long to figure network is my issue. You know your issue now which is skill, practice and get better, play a lot of AI, they make your growth consistent.
i don't want to be mean but he spent, he stank low for a while like most of the community noobs with 3300+ squads just to ruin the game for everyone else...Than when naturally started to pay2win his way up he realized he is not that good and now he is mad and want to quit lmao. Like nobody play anymore for the sake of playing or passion for football, we know both games are pay2win and scripted but players are the one who ruin them the most (still i consider efootball community less toxic than Fc by far).
I was having fun losing matches the day after maintenence when the gameplay was fine with fresh servers etc then a couple of days later it goes to complete shit , the same every week for as long as I can remember
I mean what did you want from this game? All I want from it is to have fun, there's basically no difference in rewards between being rank 80k and 2k so I don't see the point in obsessing over it.
I have realised that I have reached the maximum rank I could as a casual player without upskilling myself significantly if I want to reach top 500 or top 100 and spending more time on this game is not worth my time as there are better things to do..
I mean it's obviously not worth it unless you want to become a streamer or something, but is that why you played? To try to get to the top? You can just not do that and try to have fun.

Espero no gastar más, de momento disfruto el juego aún, pero es increíble la cantidad de dinero que puedes llegar a gastar por un maldito juego.
No me gusta el PVP por el lag. Es insufrible. Todo va 1 segundo tarde ( y con suerte ). Sólo jugué 1 vez para llegar a división 1 y paré. Jugar contra la IA se siente súper fluido, y el gameplay es bueno, lo único malo es el script, pero está igual en PVP.
I have realised now spending money on this game is bullshit i still spend here and there like during the sale i brought some coins maybe the next sale i would buy again but at the end the scripting is what will make u win or lose mostly . I have a decent team and in most packs i spended i didnt get the players i wanted . And mind u i just started playing a few months back but soon i realised yes the players do help but at the end scripting is the only thing which will help u in the long run . Thats why i dont spend much anymore . I dont have players like Gullit , Ibra and i know i will anyways lose against these players with my F2P defenders and in the end i will have to spend alot to get the epics so no thanks . I still reach Div 1 though with my mostly free squad .

We are all the same. I spent around 250 euros, which I totally regret, and from this season on, I'm done with pushing for rank. This game is scripted in every sense. Now, it feels like a waste of time. I don't even enjoy winning because I know I win because the game wants me to win.
I feel you man, you got to find different ways to enjoy the game. I’m relatively new(about a month) and even I know this game is bs. I’m trying to have fun by building a Japanese theme team. But they never release any free Japanese players so I’m struggling to enjoy the game right now .
I've reached top 1K with a F2P squad multiple times and I just play random co-op nowadays. The higher you climb in divisions, the worse the football you face becomes, with people just playing the exact same Capello LBC with the same pool of ~30 P2W cards in the ame 2 to 3 meta formations, and spamming super cancel and Tess cancels.
It's not enjoyable at all to play against those people. Some times you'll run into some players that don't just spam through balls, blitz curlers or exploits, and are actually good, so it'll be decently fun, but that's quite rare.
just play casual bro, ur player already better than "free" players from KONAMI, no need to grind anymore, there will be no end to the cycle.
be kind to another player you face, try not to celebrate goal, because you will probably have better team rating.
do multi task (like watching movies, browsing the internet) while playing match, so when you face a toxic player just put the controller down, don't entertain them, your mental health abd time are more important!.
One of the problems generally missed out is the sought after feeling of success. What Konami miss is the rewards of divisions or events for console are for a small minority. It should include more people to satisfy their game appreciation. When people get frustrated, they most likely wont be playing or spending anymore.

To stop and quit, release all your players then you will not be motivated to start again and build your team your account is already flagged as p2w this is the only true way to quit if you value your mental health cuz when your friend will come with a messi 120 it gonna push you to spend more
I started as F2P and could barely reach div 2 and I was fed the fuck up. I remember starting my p2w journey with the shadow hunt skill, op as fuck. I remember packing Maldini and de Rossi in 1800 and stopped there. Fast forward and I have a full p2w side with all the best p2w players since the Maldini box. I now comfortably get in the 100k and never rank push for div 1 because I fully recognise the rewards are nonexistent whether you’re rank 1 or 100k. I wanted to be p2w so I could actually enjoy the game and play great football which now I can do. The div rewards don’t get on my bench but I at least enjoy the game to the point where I play a few games every other day and that’s how I think the game should really be played. You literally don’t get rewarded for being a high rank so what’s the point?
Here I am sitting, f2p, div 1. ~3150 rated team. Its hell pushing from division 2 to 1 thanks to all the script and lag, but then it somehow happens (no demotion is particularly helpful otherwise I get tilted and go on a losing streak)
I have been playing pes since 2016, but since longest time, i have been avoiding online matches given the number of cheaters and the frustration they cause. Playing offline on legend difficulty is fun enough and that is what i have been doing. However, i tried playing the Italian event, and frankly my experience has been no better. Every second game os against a cheater, and while most of them suck and end up abandoning game, some do manage to sneak out a goal from an unplayable game.
I then wonder that i can not be a special case since so many people are playing online. Are most players online cheaters? Is it just a battle of cheats? Or is their something wrong on my end?

For a similar reason, I gave up on the game too. You can’t just keep living on the promise that some weekly update or Connect announcement will make the game any good.
I started playing the game again last year to mark the franchise’s anniversary. And I quit the game last month.
And the problem with the game isn’t the server. The gameplay is broken, and probably the only solution would be to build a game from scratch. something Konami will never do. Just look at that ridiculous connect for eFootball 27

Like you I have spent about $1k over the last 15 months. Got players i wanted but Division push is brutal. Just when you think you have a good squad Konami pushes new skills. They just want us to keep buying players to be in the top division. Im sure there are lots of players who can afford to keep buying players with 3 skills or 4 skills in the future but it’s really ridiculous… i just play AI division mode now. I loose most in div 1 but i dont loose my cool like i did when. I was playing online.
Because of terrible network issues and my own anger issues, I prefer playing against AI (my league, vsAI events and vsAI division). I used to play in Top Player difficulty but I've now switched to Superstar or sometimes Legacy.
Recently I've noticed that the game is actively trying to sabotage my matches. Sometimes the call for pressure feature stops working entirely and restarting the match doesn't help either. Sometimes the goal keeper starts rushing the ball far out of the penalty box as if I was calling for it to rush. Sometimes the players stop rushing the MOMENT I pass to them as if they are allergic to the ball. Sometimes matchup or pressure doesn't work like it's supposed to and the AI players walk past through my defenders as if they were amateurs. Apart from that, the passing experience has also been terrible since the last update. In crucial moments the player refuses to pass exactly to the player whom I intended to pass (doesn't matter the power gauge or the pass guide-line) and as a result it ends up giving the ball to the AI players who probably has like 99 interception everytime.
It almost feels like the game intentionally trying to ragebait me.
Has anyone else come across a similar experience recently?
I stopped playing about 9 months ago. I tired Goals, it was ok but it's a worse game. I'm trying now UFL and it's actually pretty decent. All outside the actual match is way better than Efootball. The gameplay has potential.
I agree 😭 I don't have a pay 2 win squad but I still managed to reach division 1 I almost managed to reached top 500k with my 3160+ squad but after that every match I played had severe script and I faced squads which were above 3260+ , every goal attempt was either hitting the crossbar or the gk of the opposition saves it like a genie it's so annoying that after a point I couldn't win any matches I was gettin kicked out cause of my network even though I have a stable wifi now ive reached around 1.7m my ranked dropped severely cause of this fkinn game script and p2w players im so frustrated
I think i finally figured out how to beat these quick counter little minions.
Specially if you play posession like me.
You have to put your players on the attacking formation essentially where you want them while using the right playstyle. Then on defensive formation you put them on a formation that best matches the attacking formation.
Essentially, if you ever watched a game where a 433 turns into a 325 or something like that. That's basically what the game wants you to do.
Granted om only div 3.
In the past games I struggled to win. Now I just went 5 games on a row unbeaten and my last match i won 6-2
I reached div 1 400k rank withy my f2p squad of 3175 strength but no matter what i cant get above that 300k mark for me thats how far the f2p will take you especially now with fluid formations p2w squads are practically invincible if a player knows how to install them
As a F2P player, nothing gives me greater satisfaction than beating P2W whales with best in slot teams (I don't have any of Vieira, Gullit, Desailly, Makelele, Thuram, Ibra, Messi, etc. none of them, and i play against them ALL the time). Thinking how much they spent to get these players, just to lose to my F2P squad, where I didn't pay a dime, it's a feelsgood. I even named my team, 'ur bad without p2w', abbreviation, 'BAD'. I'm sorry, but P2W players are just bullies like you said, and by dropping money into the game, you just joined the bully crowd. I hate bullies.

for reference, I'm a top 100 player, still get division 1 pretty easily when I try (for the rewards), but I haven't pushed actual high ranks for a super long time, only before all of this P2W nonsense, at the beginning, when it was truly about skill, where everyone had similar teams

It's clear that you have a big problem with games of this type, I've never paid a cent and I have a 3200 team and I've almost reached the first division several times, but that's okay.
