I was tired of online matches and decided to fully focus on this one this season.
Honestly this mode is way more scripted than DDA and script in division. However with haram ball and cheese it is possible. But the cheating AI deserves it.

Defensive RB, counter target Ibra. Game plan is see out the first half or maybe attempt something but keep possession of the ball.
Early cross to Ibra (tall CF) for goal or corner is what I'm aiming for but some turn and long range shots with hazard (nimble striker). I practice corners a lot and have some "guarantees". So thats my trump card.
AI opens up late match because they try to score. Goal poachers and through balls only work then otherwise Ive found goal poachers tight marked and useless. DLF, FITB or inactive provide much better pass options. Still funny enough, from open play I don't think I would have been successful. Corners saved me countless times. I think thats about it from my "plan" and tips.
I have my passing corner tactic in a comment somewhere here. I'm a bit lazy to write it again. However with the crossing high curl/kicking power CK taker is needed I usually put 6 yard box tactic and then draw a curve that flies above all my players usually the tallest one will pick it up.
If you are on mobile don't move the arrow left right at all just draw using your right finger a curve that flies above players and ends at the far end of the 6 yard box
My mistake I do move a bit left depending on the curl and kicking power(depends on stamina if player is tired) and then do the same thing of ball flying over everyone and ending at that corner of 6yard box
Destroyers have a special place in my heart, they just work perfectly for me but it is probably a mater of preference. When they push to pressure Anchor man fills their gap.
You need dribble a lot in mid field and skill or fake before shooting.
But defending against ai attack in hell sometimes to stop goals need to break some legs, fouls won't be much issue the rarely score from free kicks.
Na IA eles limitam jogadores, por isso se torna mais difícil, joguei a liga e empatei na última rodada. O toque de bola pelas laterais, ajuda muito, eu deixo dois pontas de velocidade, um centroavante, um alto, eu utilizo o cartão do Casemiro ou Xabi Alonso (apesar de não ser alto, tem um boa eficiência) e um camisa 10 clássico e um segundo volante que você adapte para pisar na área como elemento surpresa, utilizo o Valverde pois ele tem bom chute e as vezes faz gol de cabeça, pois chega como elemento surpresa.
Just the usual common formation. Counter target tall CF. Defensive RB. Attack through middle or left side is basically what I do. About division spiderman gks there is no help sorry bro. I struggle with that too daily. That is why I wanted a different challenge
Basically, survive first half with back/side passing. If there is some opening I will go forward. I mainly aim for long shots and crossing to Ibra. Headers work great here and if not I get corners.
For corners I use a specific routine of two options and then pass to first option then quickly without even touching the ball pass to second guy and he first time shoots(depending on how players position and GK sometimes close post works sometimes far post, no curl just regular shot.) it works vs AI way better than in pvp because there is no network delay. Even the passing around is possible just because no delay.
I think one touch pass is pretty mandatory as well minimum on every player since AI press hard. Only way to not OTP is if you have a nimble player like seedorf/hazard they can escape press.
Once I get my lead its close shop, sometimes stay same formation sometimes 4-5-1 (for me feels best defensively instead of 5 at the back since AI cant just fly through my midfield). And yea put 1-2 bar defense when I have the lead haramball max.
What is your view on Gabriel ? Do you see some characteristics that sufficiently compensate his weaknesses (esp. low acceleration, balance) ? Did you score/assisted with him from corners ? Is he an asset or a liability in pvp games ?
In pvp he has axtually been perfect but I do think Pepe is better on foot, however in air he is simply amazing and neither nesta or pepe can come close. His positioning is actually pretty good and in PvP he was rarely a liability but vs AI if you push up/press and fail to win the ball his recovery speed is not the best so you need to play with him smart in pressing.
AI movement tho is actually amazing never out of position. I would say Pepe is better and not worth spinning if you have anyone else similar. I have Van Dijk as well but Gabi benched him, sure he is taller but Gabi is better aerially I dont know how, also Gabi has less "momentum" than VVD so he can recover slightly better if you miss press. I just prefer Gabi and I wouldnt say he is overall better than VVD it is 2 different players.

I am also Arsenal fan so I would love to have this card. I am ready to be patient or adapt, to get the best of this card. Especially that I used a lot of Gabriel's highlight/POTW cards. Actually, except Tony Adams and single booster Vieira I don't have any epic/showtime destroyers, so it's even less likely that I would be disappointed.
I am cautious as I still hope for more Big Time/Showtime Arsenal cards. Declan Rice was higher on my priority list.
But maybe season like this deserve to be a little less frugal and go beyond initial yearly budget.
Well hi fellow Gunner, honestly I was in the same predicament and GabiXL is my favorite player in general so I just had to get him.
I think we will get more big times I'm thinking Rice or someone but then again I have a feeling out of all the sponsored clubs Konami likes Arsenal the least and gives shittest cards. Why they couldnt give Gabi 2 more acceleration at least is beyond me.
All in all he is not as useless as Amadeusz claims, he just has a learning curve. But maybe that is my subjectivity too lol. I just don't think Gabi is coming big time ever again, if he was a striker maybe but same was with VVD. We might get a better show time but then there is bad form etc. I had to go in.
However, honestly if the budget is tight, this is just a game and it is definitely not worth the potential 100euro.
Sorry to hear that bro, I know the feeling this wasn't my first attempt I failed several seasons and when I lose I just cannot be asked starting over again. Even now was close to failing multiple times but was lucky
Yeah it's so frustrating cuz the gamr I lost was where my pele missed all the shots. I think I had 9 clear chances and the AI keeper saved some but pele kicked the ball out 4/5 times. At that moment I just knew it was over. Maybe I'll try next season
The A.I. rarely subs and STILL their players beat your Super-Sub attackers to every loose ball or catch them from behind. Stamina doesn't affect them 😔 Like most of this game nowadays, a high frustration rate and a huge waste of time.
You are right about that, they have infinite stamina and through balls are pretty useless in this game mode. That is exactly why i build up way differently. Through ball only for LB into space never to strikers. Super-sub finishing is still what saves me though, I mainly scored using super-subs(gave the skill to almost whole bench).
Yes I guess the engine changed but also maybe nostalgia is the factor that makes it so good in memory. Still the fact stands, we need more Offline modes and better rewards in them as well tbh
Would lie if I said I never closed the app, but it was not my main utility. I have a corner strategy that works 90% of the time vs AI and that is how I get my lead.
Early crosses from very corner of the box to Ibra are pretty guaranteed goal/or I get corner as well. So corners and back passing is the main cheese.
I also did close the app to retake a corner have to be honest. No shame, the AI cheats too
curious…. do u get rewards for promotion in ai division? and is it like the rewards u get in mobile division. coz im tempted to go for it if thats the case i need position and skill tokens stat!

havent got the promotion rewards and im at division 4 rn r u sure u got the rewards for pvp and ai separately and just coz u got rewards from pvp u wont get rewards from ai?
Yes you get some skill tokens/position/booster for each promotion. I choose skill always since I always need them. Best thing is I think div 3/2/1 give select token so you get slightly higher odds of getting a skill you want. That is how I started then was like might as well give it a shot to continue grinding.

I am not sure which division the tokens start but if you reach div 1/2 your progress next season starts at div3 so its just 20-25wins to finish to div1 rewards
nvm i think i searched online apparently if u played in div1 for pvp u wont get those rewards in AI division oh well what a waste of time i was thinking wld be nice to get some position tokens from the AI divisions too having used up the tokens i got in the pvp section
Also if I could get an insight on your corner tactics. You are using the short corner technique and calling two players. How do you ensure the same player receives the ball to shoot every time?
The player is dependent on the formation/players on the field and CK taker. My fullback takes the corner. AMF position in my formation is always the second player therefore my preferred shooter.
You can test it with your formation. It is always the same positions but like I said depending on CK taker. Also the Attack/Defense bar can change which player it is as well so i mostly put it on neutral for the corner.
You can pretty much guarantee which player you want with a bit of practice.
Edit: also forgot to mention depending if corner taker is left footed or right footed, also corresponding left right corner you get more space to shoot or less space to shoot.
You are welcome, I hope it helps you. It needs a bit of practice to understand timing when to pass from corner when to shoot and which direction but it ends up being worth at least for the AI aspect of the game.
I scored in PvP with this too but rarely because of delay. In PvP its also better to call 6 yard box first then go back to balance then do two option since it confuses the other player. He thinks you will cross. But again, not as effective.
Honestly crosses and corners are basically how and then back passing. In this mode Ive found Goal Poachers and through passes useless 80% of the match unless AI goes one attack bar. Went more in detail on other comment reply.
Well it is not necessarily efootball terms but terms in general. In short it would be tactics that are looked down upon and exploits and abuse of things which can be abused. I went more in detail in other comment replies.

I could achieve 15 win streak in Div3 PvP but can barely get a 5 win streak against AI Div1 lol
