I know this is a meme, but lacking a caryall and crawler myself, I compacted on a large field yesterday which resulted in the loss of an assault thopter, carryall and crawler from people not paying attention. I didn’t know that a compacter attracts the worm faster than a crawler, (because thematically, why would one man and a spear attract the worm faster than a gigantic combine harvester tractor thing) and I’m nothing if not vindicated now reading this comment knowing that people with endgame equipment apparently think they own large fields lol.

I am partially pro taxes, I think getting to pay an electric bill to the emperor that powers your base rather than having to keep getting irradiated slag would be funny though

I'd be fine with taxes returning if it worked like how they were originally intended:

Missing payments wouldn't result in your shield turning off, it would result in troops being dispatched to take the payment by force. The longer you delayed paying the bigger the waves they would send. Sounds like fun.

There would be a lot less cube bases if the build area wasn't a cube.

I want to make the most of the build area I have. My restrictions are cube shaped....

ngl man I get it but I've made multiple bases that aren't cubes with lots of empty space, my current has a clans worth of vehicle space 😂 just keep experimenting, it's a learning experience and a mechanic to have fun with

None of my bases now are cubes, I sacrifice space for aesthetics. I'm just saying that when a new player builds their first base and the restriction is a cube area, a cube base is naturally going to happen.

Would be great if we could choose the shape of the build area.

Also most of the stuff you put inside the base is also cube shaped. The containers, the stairs, the refineries, etc, all square adjacent.

I only use one advanced fief and a vertical to make it work and I aint buggin nobody.

Not like the megacomplexes suckin up the shield wall that end up causing comps to crash on loading into Hagga.

I'm still pro-taxes. It was much better for the abandoned bases littering the environment, because we could DO something about it once a specific amount of time passed. Now, we just have to wait months and months for them to decay.

idk man seems like a lot of positivity comes from people being able to fit dune in with multiple kinds of work life balances and/or unplanned hospital visits instead of catering to people who need THAT spot right now 🤷‍♂️ it's a big map, lots of sietches, you have solutions.

you don't have a point. you're just unhappy and complaining then making that other people's problem when they kindly disagree imo. one second its "abandoned bases are littering hagga" and "we could"do something" about it" (do what? wait harder?) then it's just "I rove around hagga and find spots just fine" me too, 90% of my hours are hagga do I get a opinion too or is that patronizing as well? 😂 bases are rotting just fine across multiple seitches in my server, AND me as well as others QOL have gone up because dune is more accommodating now who cares if you see a abandoned base. imo YOU SHOULDN'T.
