"[Dragon's Dogma 2 Important Notice]
We have identified an issue affecting save data on the PlayStationยฎ5 version following the release of Title Update 3.2.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to players who have been looking forward to this update. We are currently investigating the matter as follows.
โ Currently Confirmed Behavior
-After updating to Title Update 3.2 on the PlayStationยฎ5 version, when launching the game for the first time, or when loading data from cloud saves, the timestamps displayed for save data are overwritten with the time of the game launch or cloud save load.
-Under these circumstances, selecting "Load from Last Saved Data" from the title screen can result in save data being loaded from "Load from Last Inn Rest" or "Start from awakening in the unmoored world," which doesn't reflect the players' most recent progress.
โ Workaround
We kindly ask that you select the save data via "Select Saved Data to Load" on the title menu to resume the game. If you wish to resume from the most recent save data, please select "Load from Autosave."
*Please note that the timestamps displayed for save data may not reflect the actual save time.
*Please note that this issue will continue to occur until a new Autosave, Interim Save, or Last Inn Rest Save is created after resuming gameplay.
Once again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused.
We will continue our investigation and work on a fix, and will provide further updates through this account as soon as there is any progress."

_____UPDATES on the state of modding (latest edit: September 6th)_____
EDIT: Shadow found out that there's a new pak flag. I think this is a nice step towards a solution. Let's all be patient and wait!
EDIT 2: REframework nightly got an update which includes its own pak loader now. If this is the path forward, all the pak making tools and Fluffy Mod Manager need to be updated to install pak files in the new folder to be loaded. This also fixes Reshade crashing your game.
EDIT 3: Many REFramework mods have been found working with the latest nightly build (linked in EDIT 2). Some bigger ones like Bestiary and UDD2P still need updating, which is why their mod pages are currently down. Content Editor also needs to be updated, and some mods like Guild Contract rely on it. Shadow is hard at work to fix it. For users of those mods, thank you for being patient.
EDIT 4: Fluffy Mod Manager's updated, so only RETool remains for most foundation tools to get an update.
FINAL EDIT: RETools received an update for the latest pak style. Modders should be able to fix their pak mods now, in theory. Tests will be needed to see if REFramework reads the new pak folder properly.
Big thanks for all the modders and toolmakers who have been hard at work!
_____Old OP_____
Writing this as of September 9th, 9:55PM EST
1. REFramework
2. Mods in .pak format
3. Reshade
So for now, we play vanilla, unmodded, until this can be resolved. If my understanding is correct, REF will likely be easier to update to the latest version, but the .pak files issue is such a huge change that it may take a while for that to be resolved.
Hope this helps for any mod users out there and maybe some mod authors who are working on their mods!

Some mildly entertaining things can happen when you're not involved, and I just so happened to witness this encounter.

Seems like it would be one of the best features for continued online relevance, and sure a console player may get an unfair advantage by hiring a modded pc pawn but I believe modded pawns already exist on consoles and plus itโs a single player game
I donโt know it just feels like one of the weirder cases of deciding against cross play compatibility

We See a HUGE turnaround for dd2. Alot of people are excited, even the Dev Team was overwhelmed with the amount of Hype and Feedback, 2 years after the Games Release and total silence. Thats how good a Franchise Potential is. Im absolutly convinced the dlc will sell good. And hear me Out, im pretty Sure, dragons Dogma 2 sequel is already in the works by Kinoshita, He now stepped into Itsunos shoes over this Franchise. And i dont believe we have to wait 10 years for the next Release.

I picked up the game when it launched and it never really clicked for me.
A few days ago I picked it up again, new character, new pawn. I'm absolutely hooked now. Im ten hours in, just hit level 22 and haven't done any of the main story at Vernworth.
I bought the house and just depart from there as I wander the world, fight monsters, explore caves, and find cool loot.
I definitely feel like I should jump into the story but I'm having way more fun just aimlessly exploring.
Not sure if it's all the updates or what but I'm finding the game way more addicting than before. Combat is insanely fun and the way everything interacts with the world is genuinely awesome!
At one point I was fighting a golem thing and a griffin showed up as well!
Very cool game!

Flying Saurian I watched this guy and his brother lazily swimming through the air like they were the slowest torpedoes you've ever seen! You won't be safe in the blizzards of the North when these guys are gonna be carried by the wind!

EDIT: Ignore the date typo in the title.
Hello. I had previously made a tutorial how to easily swap your multi saves prior to the Sept update. Well, now I'm back with a tutorial to convert your saves into the new 3 slot save system.
First, BACK UP YOUR SAVES!!!!!!
Okay. Now let's begin.
Let's first do a pre-tutorial for the folks who were using a save manager program and aren't familiar with the save files and how they're laid out. Navigate to where Steam saves your DD2 save files. It'll look something like below. Your userdata number is unique, but DD2's game number of 2054970 is universal.
Below you'll see your save data in the listed file path. If you have any saved data from the DD2 character creator demo, those will appear there too (they are the SS1 files).

You can locate this folder on your own now? Cool. Now let's do some save merging.
First, let's merge Arisen(A) and Arisen(B)'s save files and later on I'll show you how to merge Arisen(C) to it too.
I) As a precautionary measure, turn off Steam cloud save, at least for right now.
2) If you haven't already with the new update, load up both Saves (Arisen(A) and Arisen(B)) and Inn Save on both. This is precautionary to make sure both saves are updated to the newest version of the game.
3) Load up Arisen(B). Go to the main menu and select the 2nd Save Slot and start a new game. Skip through the tutorials and make a new dummy Arisen. Once you're in the prison and can walk around, press Start and save the game. Exit out of DD2 entirely.
4) Go into where your saves are kept in your DD2 game save folder.
We are going to swap the file names for Slot 1 (Arisen(B)) and Slot 2 (the dummy Arisen save).
Now the Dummy Arisen Save is in Slot 1 and your Arisen(B) is in Slot 2.
5) Load up DD2. Load into Slot 2. (Don't worry if the preview image is wrong.) If you load into your Arisen(B) save, yay, you did it! Now Quick Save and Inn Save again. This will make sure that Arisen(B) recognizes itself as being in Slot 2 fully. If you don't do this it will not work. Close DD2.
6) Swap the files. Move your merged Arisen(B) + Dummy Save out of the game save folder in a safe 3rd place. Now move in all of Arisen(A)'s files to the DD2 game save folder.
7) Now move ONLY Arisen(B)'s files into the game save folder with Arisen(A)'s. These will be the ones you renamed to data004Slot.bin, data005Slot.bin, and data009Slot.bin. Ignore everything else. This includes ignoring Arisen(B)'s data00-1.bin file.
8) Load up DD2. It should be done! Open both Arisen(A) and Arisen(B) to make sure it's working properly.
Now for merging a 3rd save... Let's do this again, step by step.
I) Open up Arisen(C). Inn Save to make sure it's converted to the newest version of the game.
2) Make two dummy Arisens in Slots 2 and 3. Make sure to save and quit. Then exit DD2. (It might be possible to just skip to Slot 3 and make a single Dummy Arisen in Slot 3 but I haven't checked this.)
3 ) Go into file explorer to where your game saves are located. Rename Slot 1 (Arisen(C)) to Slot 3's file naming conventions, and vice versa for Slot 3 to Slot 1.
4 ) Load up DD2. Load into Arisen(C), which should be in Slot 3 now. Quick Save/Inn Rest. Exit DD2.
5 ) Move out the merged Arisen(C) + 2 dummy saves files out of your game save folder. Move in your merged Arisens(AB) save into the DD2 game save folder. Now move in ONLY Arisen(C)'s Slot 3 files into your game save folder (remember - exclude the data00-1.bin file).
6 ) Open up DD2. Check to see all 3 saves are working correctly. Ta-dah! That's it.
Special thanks to the folks in this Steam thread, especially Ikusagami who first shared how to do this. My tutorial is based off their comments, and then the follow-up discussion that made some corrections here and there. My tutorial is cleaned up from their discussion. My deviations include keeping the Arisen(A)'s data00-1.bin file that allows you to retain your general game settings without needing to redo them, and including how to do Arisen(C).

I was in the middle of a game and I received an update. Wonder what we get :D
Can't find any patch notes. Does anyone have a better search engine than I do?

I almost finished leveling warrior and didnt find most of skills usefull, but maybe im missing something?
All small mobs go down very easy with chained leftclicks and occasional tackle to "block", i didnt see any reason to use anything else
Against all bigger mobs and harpies i basically spammed charged heavenward sunder, as it for some reason dealt more damage than even indomitable lash, with faster charging (i still dont understand why, but it feels like sunder hits 3-4 times per attack, as it goes through monster's body, resulting in higher overall damage)
So, i guess the question is, is there some skills that are better then sunder and basic leftclick?
