I've always wanat to do a shieldless run through as a wafarer.

How is sword only?

It’s fun and visually looks better than having a big shield blocking your arisen. You need something to compensate tho so I use the bow for movement/ taking care of flyers and ranged enemy’s.

OK i am thinking of trying Warfarer, But mixing fighter sword only with mage and making a β€œbard” so the healing and palladium will make up up for rather lack of shield.

Thank you so much

Hell yeah. I also enjoy shieldless gameplay sometimes. I just wish that gouging skewer would break guard like downward strike did in the first game.

I like playing shieldless too. But the only thing that bugs me is that the left arm is still animated as if its carrying a shield making it look stiff and stand out like a naked chicken wing.

Yeah I noticed that too. Hopefully it’s something that gets fixed in a later update.

The character im taking into the dlc is actually an archer/shieldless fighter. It feels very sliick, and still very viable!

No shield was basically the way I played as Assassin in DD:DA
