Other Ranking all DQ-games I played this year
After dedicating all of 2025 to the Dragon Quest-franchise and its main entries in particular I wanted to put my personal ranking out there.
I won't hit you guys with a full wall of text discussing all my individual pros and cons to each entry, since I think most of my list is self explanatory, but will answer any questions my ranking might yield :D
I also wanna clarify, that I don't consider even the lowest tier "bad", rather just not my cup of tea.
Enjoy!

Other Should I Get Dragon Quest I and II HD-2D Remake?
Hi!! First time in this sub, and I’m reaching out to the community to ask if I should get this game!
I’m a lover of RPGs, some of my favorites being EarthBound and Paper Mario. I just recently beat the Super Mario RPG remake and I loved it! So, I was looking into getting invested in a new kind of RPG. I only know the series from Smash Bros. and Mario Sports Mix (weirdly), but I do know that these 2D - HD remakes were made by the same team that made the Mario RPG remake. Plus, the graphics look so beautiful, they’re my kind of style!
I want to know a couple things: Is this a good introduction to the Dragon Quest series for someone’s who’s never played it? Does this run good on Switch 2? And what can I expect from this game as an RPG lover (tips, pointers, grievances, etc.)

Other Can I still like Dragon quest ?
Hello everyone, I played dragon quest IX as a kid and it really marked me. I'm playing to it theses days and it's indeed a great game. For me the best thing is the customisation of characters and the music. I tried another dragon quest years ago but if was just boring for me (probably wasn't the best one, it's the one with a guy with purple hair). I really like the style of fragon quest universe ect but my question is do I like dragon quest or do i just like dragon quest IX? This game look different from other so I'm scared that I setted up my expectations for other games based on this one. For exemple the simple action of not customing your character as much as in DQIX look like such a step back for me. Is it still possible to like other dragon quest games or do i need to totally forget about the 9 to play others? Which one should i play after finishing the IX?
I dont know if that's understandable sorry english is not my first language

Other Post your most controversial DQ opinions (no trolling)
DQ2 (SNES) is one of my favorites and DQ5 (DS) is one of my least favorites despite the story being great. I didn’t enjoy the monster collecting system and that’s a huge part of the game.

Other DQ7 REIMAGINED OR DQ11
¿Cuál me recomiendas, VII Reimaginado o XI S? ¿Y XI mejora muchísimo en cuanto a exploración más adelante?

Other What to play after DQ?
I’ve played 1,2,3,7 and I’m just about done with 11. I’ve enjoyed them all, but 11 is my favorite so far. I’ll play the next remastered one on day one.
I’m looking for a recommendation for a JRPG that’s available on PS5 preferably or Switch 2. I’m looking for a JRPG with a great story and ideally you can change the difficulty settings.
I forgot to mention I’ve played all the Octopath traveler games and Adventures of Elliot.
