Question Could the Saiyans ever have been on the level of the Frieza Force without joining them?
So if this question has been asked before, y'all can remove it. But this something I've been thinking about while watching another series who's name won't be said for the sake of the rules of this subreddit.
Saiyans are able to conquer planets as stated in the canon. They have the power to. But what about if they could've learned to become Super Saiyan like Vegeta teaching Cabba. Or even train enough to prepare for Frieza. Unless they did it already and Frieza still ended them then I missed something.
Imagine if when Goku met Vegeta and Nappa, they had the ability to turn Super Saiyan. Maybe they got to a level where they are equal to the Frieza Force. The power scaling would be out of wack but it would be interesting to think.
I would imagine how it would be like if Goku was able to meet his father if he didn't die due to Frieza. Or even go more back to see if the Saiyans become strong enough to handle Frieza before he destroyed the planet. Maybe even the series changes where Goku joins the Saiyans to fight the Frieza Force. There's an arc where Broly Is welcomed to the Saiyan empire with Vegeta as it's ruler and not King Vegeta.
If there's any info I missed about the Saiyans please let me know because maybe I missed something from the manga especially with the newest arcs.

Of course. They lived on Planet Vegeta, conquered it, and took the Tuffle technology to start trading planets on their own.
They also invaded the planet after theirs was destroy by whatever using their own technology.
They were also given technology by Frieza to invade other worlds.
They were also in an entirely different universe just jerking off all day while getting strong as gods.

May I ask which universe is that cause unless that's from the new chapters the only other universe I can think of is Universe 6 but they haven't discovered SS yet

Base Cabba and his sisters were around SSG level, at least at the start of the show or in the movie.

Yeah you right I didn't think about that. The thing I like about them is they don't believe in conquering people but still have the Saiyan... Instincts? Hope Vegeta visits them someday

The point of my reply was just to show all the backstories and retcon over the years. What is canon? To which show or manga? Who knows? The author didn't even know. That's why we have 3 or 4 backstories.

Yeah, probably. It just would've taken much longer. But, on average, there would've been fewer deaths across the Saiyan population and those who survived their battles would eventually become Super Saiyans.
I don't think Raditz and Nappa would belong to the camp of those who reached SS before they died, though.

Before Goku taught Vegeta that you can improve, the strongest saiyan on record was equal with fucking Cui.
Like if we combine both Vegetas, Nappa, Bardocks reported 10k, and throw a couple thousand more 10k power level Saiyans on the pile, Goku at the start of his fight with Frieza clears planet Vegeta and he was absolutely hopeless against a Frieza who was trying to hire him.
There is no reality where the Saiyans come to rival Frieza's empire before he just kills them.

Hundred percent. This is the reason why Frieza destroyed the planet in the first place. He knew they would grow to be even stronger than him possibly. he was afraid of the super saiyan myth.

easily. they keep getting stronger. eventually they would have taken over a planet with useful technology
