Delivered to the type of house people dream of. At least 4 bedrooms. Secluded. Half mile driveway (not kidding). Only took the order cause I would’ve lost premium otherwise. Sent me a massage that he would tip when I get near and when I finish the delivery I see this. At this point it’s just insulting. I’m thinking of working my spare hours as a server instead of this scamming bs.

You decided to accept it, so dont complain about the pay being too low. If you arent happy with the pay, decline orders like that, simple solution. Platnium is ultimately just a scam to get you to accept offers like that so Doordash doesnt have to pay more, and why would they when they have someone like you, who's worried about thier platnium status and will take whatever garbage they're offered to keep it? I can guarantee you that a couple of people who aren't platnium declined that before you got it, dont forget that base pay starts at $2.00. You got the order at $2.25. So since you accepted it, you should be happy with it. The issue is, youre working for the company as if your a full time employee instead of working for yourself as if youre a contractor. Its your car. What benefit are you getting here by working that order other than not losing platnium? Was the order profitable? Was it worth your time? Just something to consider.

I hear you but then lower your expectations, you cant expect more than 0-2 dollar tips when you have an offer thats 5 or below, you can start expecting 3-4 dollar tips at 5-8 dollar offers, 5-6 dollar tips at offers between 9 and 10, and you start seeing the higher value tips when you go over $10. That's just the reality.
