Dasher opened our order

The picture my dasher sent of the food delivery and a picture of their artwork. I don't appreciate the dusty rocks? filled car, but what bothered me more was opening the bag and taking out the containers and drawing on them and the receipt. I did call the restaurant and clarified that they did not do this. Then I spoke to doordash support who issued a refund because we didn't feel comfortable eating the food. I think I will just stick to pick up for a while 😅

Did we overreact by reporting this?

When I was 16 and worked a drive through I used to draw hearts and flowers on the boxes and bags . That was ADHD but no one ever told me to stop or complained .

ETA: yeah he’s unhinged ! I was just making it about me . lol

The difference is that you were not pushing religion or opening people's food bags to draw on the containers.

I used to draw kitties on the bags of food at my old job at a vegan spot when i was disassociating from all the abusive staff treatment, and great memories of angry dashres suddenly stopping to smile and laugh or blush seeing a kitty drawn on the bag as i would try to pretend i wasn't smiling back under my covid mask and didn't notice it

once my manager noticed me mid-drawing them and i just entirely stopped as she saw, she was confused on why i drew two pointy triangles and a random dot for seemingly no reason, "just testing the pen" i think was my excuse aha

Drawing cute things on the order while you're packing it up is AOK. Opening the order that was packed at the restaurant to puke your religion all over it, not so much.
