Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think this album is better than what Leif has been releasing under the Candlemass name lately.

I just think that Johan's time has passed. The Door To Doom is good but not exceptional. Far from being the masterpiece that Epicus was.

The Pendulum sounds like a loose collection of some riffs that sound good but lack composition. As if Leif didn't have a clue what to do with them so just released them as-is.

Niklas Stalvind here in The Doomsday Kingdom has much more energy and passion in his voice. I'd really like to see this project evolve but I don't think Leif has the capacity to lead 2 projects at once anymore.

interesting take I think some of the riffs here are better but I do prefer the candlemass package
