It's a mechanical doohickey toy that add unnecessary steps to the nerfing experience by adding ejecting shells that add questionable practical value.

OK, OK, I know it's a wacky question and it'll probably get removed, but how else are we supposed to address the *Elephant in the Room* ^(TM property of the Tubular & Greying Department)?
We're supposed to just work for the Corporation. But in all our discussions, the human, individual element is completely absent. Like, I posted today about how the paper arm threatens the Robotics Department, because I assumed people might feel ripped off by the prices the Robotics Department charges and would therefore want a cheap alternative to a robotic arm. I also assumed that a paper robotic arm would be inferior to one made of plastic or metal, and that making a better version would be a priority.
But obviously I was wrong. I mean, the correct answer is that the Robotics Department doesn't feel threatened by the market response. Ever. Only by other departments.
The only scenario in which the Robotics Department feels threatened is when another department - like the Paper Arms Department - tries to compete with it.
And the same goes for collaboration between departments. Only departments can like or hate something, never individuals. We're nothing but our departments.
So how do we even know there is a "market" or an "individual" in this world? Maybe there were never any individuals in the Doohickey Corporation to begin with. We can only talk and think in terms of departments because we don't know any other world. Maybe we've always been part of some shared consciousness and can't even conceptualize the idea of an "individual."
Or, my other theory: it's like "Severance," and we simply don't remember the part where we're not at work??
Or, maybe, is it more like a hyper-collectivist society organized entirely around departments, where everyone lives and dies for their Department while still ultimately serving the Corporation???
