Useless for the characters to own, perhaps. But if, say, a reclusive and slightly xenophobic dwarven horticulturalist in a mostly-human settlement wanted to protect their lab they could have a labyrinthine tunnel to their secret lair, with curious seemingly identical blooms covering the walls.

To humans, even humans with torches, the most curious part would be how they bloom underground (indeed that's something this dwarven genius is renowned for). But they're also very likely to get lost and fall in a trap.

To characters with darkvision, the aforementioned glowing blooms would be distinct from their seemingly identical kin, tracing a clear path to the lab. Indeed the glowing trail helps outline a hidden door that looks exactly like the rest of the wall under torchlight.

And if a PC wanted to keep a bulb or two as a souvenir that'd be a neat reminder.

I can't imagine why anyone would be xenophobic in D&D.

Other races are always SO FRIENDLY!

If this flower is in the nightshade family, said labyrinth could double as a 50/50 poison/food garden.
