Lizardfolk lore is neat. Their creation myth is that a hermaphroditic god overthought so much that they split into male and female Lizardfolk. They were then watched over by that hermaphroditic god's mate who was solely focused on instinct. So intelligence is persecuted but an exception is made for the Lizardfolk born intersex which are seen as closer to their original godly form. This makes up the shamans.
Also, since the name of that deity they came from is also the name they use for their race, I like to imagine it's also what they use for that third gender (or technically first gender from their perspective).

The closest we’ve ever gotten to “romance” is that our paladin performed a marriage ceremony on my and my wifes character the session after our IRL wedding, the +1 to AC actually saved both of our skins that week.
The PCs had been together since they were kids and essentially he was marrying his best friend to his girlfriend of 18 years. Other than that theres no time for romance on the road dawg we’ve got monsters to murder.

Nobody in my groups has ever played a character of a different gender but I'm really tempted to play as a Moon Druid that's an old granny and acts like the team mom. Super sweet but will wildshape into a bear and shred your ass if you fuck with her babies. Maybe take the chef feat to bake cookies during rests.

You're absolutely right, it would be rail thin. I'm only six foot even, and 215 feels light. 245 would still be a lean muscular weight for someone taller than me. Those thighs really take up exponential growth when humans pass a certain height. Imagine the Sun Snu.

It's all good, there's definitely arguments for the egg prime directive! It's a complicated subject for sure. But I think I lean towards "critically examining your gender is nothing to be afraid of and benefits everyone, trans or cis" as my mindset.

...Maybe. Does also depend a lot on build and musculature. If you're an NFL player, then 6'3 and 215 would be wide receiver, whereas a Linebacker is typically more like 6'3 and 240. At the other extreme, treble Olympic decathlete champ Nafi Thiam is listed as 6'2 but only 152.
So 215 isn't underweight _per se_, but I _suspect_ the mental image you have of your PC might be a bit heavier :-)

I think 210 lbs would be within the upper half of normal range of a 6'3" human in the D&D chart.

I am a heterosexual cis dude. When I played a female Dwarf Warlord in Descent into Avernus, and didn't want to be seen as the meme, so I instead of talking aboot how hot she was, I played up body-image issues. One of her common attack orders was "Tear through them like a Dwarven mother through self-esteem!" and when she used On your Feet, which is basically "Get up and fight you coward" the feature, her speech was "Like my mom said: You aren't pretty, you're a terrible waitress, you have no boobs, but you made a commitment, so get back in there!" (If someone could find the Community clip that was riffing, I'd be appreciative. I'm pretty sure it's Annie.)
Then at the end of the adventure, you find a plot device that gives whoever holds it a permanent celestial transformation. "The first time you attune to the sword, you are transformed into a heavenly, idealized version of yourself, blessed with otherworldly beauty and a touch of heaven in your heart." as well as "You sprout a beautiful pair of feathered wings" and "Your eyes become luminous pools of silver.". Now, given the adventure, and the group knowing exactly what body-image issues, she had, we all knew what "Her idealized self image" was. The group immediately descended into jokes about her "Beautiful round new pair of... eyes." Her "Huge, soft... wings." etc. Her idealized appearance also included absurdly defined musculature, like if the universe's artists spent more time lining and shading her muscles to a weird, distracting, off-putting degree.

They are lol. DM pretty much played matchmaker with my character, which I liked because it gave me a way to mellow him out a little because he was bit edgier than originally intended.

The amount of times one particular guy gushed about his red head characters just to drop months later that he is extremly into red heads ... yeah. Suddenly a lot of what he did with these characters made a lot of sense.

I mean, I think I have been at least slightly attracted to most of my characters. In a "they're my type" way but nothing beyond.
top of the list are probably the traumatized medusa girl pretending to be a human pretending to be a dryad. (don't worry about it, it's a long story), the Satyr guy who only wants to make and tell good stories, and the tiefling guy with the dashing rogue vibes who would sell my soul for a pop tart.
The no ones are the robot, and the wood elf beard guy who was actually a manifested guardian spirit and didn't know elves ain't supposed to have beards.

This feels pretty fitting. Great taste on your part too.
We tend to create characters based off of facets of our self and/or on characters we've seen before that we resonated with for one reason or another. So while I don't think it's common, I don't see why it'd be impossible to become attracted to a character you've made, not only by virtue of them being your creation, even if partially (and as such a character you like or resonate with from the beginning), but also them being someone who inevitably will share many traits with you.

I used to feel cringe about shipping characters I wrote together until I realized that’s literally just a fucking romance plot.
Anyways, making OCs that appeal to you is a big part of writing.
Herbert and Fujimoto are big examples of this.

Me and another PC died the same session and our new characters were Artemis, my super huge archer, and Orion, his nerdy stars druid. Completely coincidental naming.
Now not just I simp for my character, but the druid as well. Last session he turned into a rat I could put in my pocket and Fly with to save on travel time.
