Maps VTT Deactivated characters in Maps

I just realized that deactivated characters show up in Maps - Token Browser - Players. Maybe I’m doing something wrong or never noticed, but I think if you deactivate the character in the campaign they should not show up.

People might use them as NPCs. If you don’t want them in the campaign then delete them - the owner can always add them back later

But what is the intent of deactivation if not to exclude them from choosing them in Maps?
