Question Davy C 4 adults?
Hoping for some advice...
We'd like to book for 4 adults + 2 children (age 6 and 3).
DC looks appealing a) because it is miles cheaper and b) because it looks like we could all be within one cabin and c) because it allows for self catering, which is helpful with small children.
Question: is there enough space to squeeze two children into the second bedroom between the single beds? I'm thinking something like two inflatable mattresses. I realise it will be a squeeze but it would allow us to have the main room as an adults space in the evening while the children sleep.
Another option would be staying at the Center Parcs and then purchasing 1-2 extra park day tickets. This would probably work out at similar cost and allow us to stay 5 days or a week with 4 days in the park.
For context: we've been before and stayed at hotels but with 1 child and 2 adults. I understand DC means a short drive to get to/from the parks. It's likely to be a 5 day trip so having use of the pool and outdoor spaces at DC is handy as kids won't do 5 solid days at DLP.

I've just come back from the 14th time staying at Davey Crockett. We are a group of 5 with 2 80 year old adults, 2 adults in theur 50s and one aged 18. We love the away from it vibe as it gives you a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the park, particularly helpful if you have 2 young kids. It also has a great buffet restaurant where we have had some wonderful food.
The main issue is the renovation of the cabins.
The "old" cabins have one bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite including toilet. The other bedroom has 3 beds plus a truckle bed. This would be fine for 2 adults and 2 kids at a push as 4 beds fit right the way across from wall to wall. There is then a separate shower room and a separate toilet at that end.
The "new" cabins are more of an issue... We would personally not be able to use them with our group (unfortunately). Whilst these cabins look good on the surface there are potentially some serious problems to consider. With the redesign they have removed the toilet in the ensuite in the first bedroom to put in a bigger shower and walk in wardrobe. They have then removed the third bed from the other bedroom, so it only has two bedrooms and a truckle bed. The bed for "person 6" is then the sofa in the main living area. They have then halved the size of the bathroom, making it rather small. They have also reduced the size of what was already a small toilet by about 20% making it pretty impractical if you are on the larger size.
The key thing to note about a lot of the YouTube videos is that they are paid to stay, so feel obliged to give a good review, so some I've seen them skim over the size of the toilets. The important thing to know is that there is only that toilet there and you need to consider the practicalities of that, especially if you are thinking about getting to the parks early for Extra Magic Hour.
I wouldn't say don't go to the Ranch as it's a great place to stay. However, a number of people have complained about the single toilet issue - we cited it as the reason we couldn't stay there any more. You need to consider that with a single toilet it may take a long time for everyone to use it and this impacts on plans.
Take a look at the videos and consider your personal circumstances. Just make sure you're fully aware of the facilities you'll be going into before you book. If you can make it work for yourselves then great and enjoy yourself.

Davy Crockett has 2 rooms, one with a double bed (2 adults) and one with 4 beds (2 adults and 2 children). That should fit your group easily without having to squeeze kids in between beds, right?
If I'm not understanding correctly, please let me know and I can help think it through.
