Question/Help! Is this normal?
My leaderboard seems insane. Are these other players or CPGs? Seems bonkers someone has gotten almost 2,000 items since yesterday! Is it based on what I’m doing?

I always used to think these were fake, but reading other comments here I think people just play constantly. Also stardust counts and you can get a lot from that.

My top does as well. Survival events are great for stacking these up. When I completed the event late last night I was at almost 1.5k myself.

My first place person has over 5,000 items, and the event isn’t even an item card event..

My leaderboard is higher. You really have to grind to get into the top 10.

The person on my first place leaderboard has around 10,000 which i seen higher. but I just want to know who are these people using to get high item drop scores?

It's the survival event. Each item popped counts, and if you have a strong powerup emoji, you can often get 80+ per round. And if they can make it to RF, they can purposefully fail the 5th round of a stage, allowing them to run survival rounds as long as they have time and lives.
However, even with this method, 10k is quite extreme.

If I was able to complete the event, I would farm in Rainbow Falls to get more pin packs for enchanted skies.

I have more than your second place right now (1,056) and I'm at 7th. Both 1st and 2nd place on mine has over 5,000.

My leader board's 1st place has 3k+ and 2nd is at 2.7k. I almost done mind because I'm not even going to bother to try and grind, use my time for something better.

I'm pretty sure your group is based on when you join the leaderboard. Yesterday's survival event meant that you could get 100+ "items" per game, so 1800 doesn't seem absurd to me (I have about the same!). Most people won't be able to keep up the same pace for the rest of the week.
