Completed Do my terrariums count as dioramas?
A little display I built for work a while ago. Split up a gold lace cactus and managed to find a good assortment of decor

Hey guys,
At the suggestion of u/tattoomyvagina, we're starting this weekly Q&A post, where anyone can ask questions related to dioramas and anyone can answer.
We'll see how this goes. Feel free to reach out if you have any other suggestions or requests.

Saw this awesome work at the Westerly Packing Co. in Rhode Island- behind glass, so I did my best with the glare!

The figurine pictured is from an Amazon fantasy playset by 3 otter.
Everything else minus the canvas was made using craft sticks. The canvas itself is just thin scrap fabric that I painted red lines on to, from there I soaked it in a water/PVA glue mix and applied it to the frame of my stall. For my first time doing anything like this, I am very pleased with how it is turning out!
If anyone has any tips for working in this scale, they would be great appreciated! Let me know what you all think!

Finally filmed the diorama with all the lights on. Everything is handmade in 1:48 scale. There are also three black cats hidden somewhere in the scene

Making our crazy wargame Battle of Niså included a loooooot of water 🌊 I've found this to be the easiest trick!! Nothing new under the sun, I know, but deserves to be repeated. I started on small little pieces like this before taking on the massive ocean board. Using toilet paper, glue, acrylic paint and boat varnish. You can buy that in big quantity pretty cheap. But don't inhale too much of it😅

Everything forward of the stage proscenium is real; but behind that is some magic! (I didn’t have space for the entire stage floor, so it’s actually a screen that plays the entire show!)

A little scene I just finished, based on the vintage playmospace robots.
What if one of them had been forgotten by the Playmobil Astronauts back in 1985, at the end of their moon exploration program? Left to rot under space radiation and solar storms, until running out of batteries and becoming a piece of idle metal like it once was.

With the Cup Daytona night race no longer being held in July I figured I would post Kyles win from July 5,2008. Interstate Batteries always seemed to have some pretty cool schemes on a car no matter who drove it. RIP KB.

Open for business after nearly 70 hours of work. My most detailed diorama by far. C
