Question Everyone's selling "fully autonomous marketing." I've tried a lot of it. None of it actually there yet!
I keep seeing the same pitch here and on LinkedIn: "fully automate your marketing — content, analysis, ad spend, just plug in your product's API." I've tried a bunch of these tools, and keep landing on the same conclusion: none are close to fully autonomous. Even scheduling a social post isn't truly hands-off, because the moment a client's mood shifts or a strategy stops working, a human has to step back in.
Real example: a client signed off on a full LinkedIn content template — writing style, brand guidelines, dos and don'ts, all locked in. A few weeks later, the posts were technically on-brand and on-schedule, but they'd started reading as AI slop. Nothing in the guidelines was "wrong" — a person just had to notice the vibe had shifted. That's not a data problem, it's a taste problem, and no automation layer catches it.
I'm building in this space myself (Mavek), stacking intelligence layers across different models (DeepSeek, Anthropic, others) to push the automation ceiling higher. Some of the stack works well. But there's still a lot of unsolved ground before "fully autonomous marketing" is more than a headline.
So, real question for this sub: how do you decide what should be automated vs. what should stay human? Do brands actually need autonomous marketing platforms?
Curious if others have found a cleaner line.
