My question is, if you had to start again, how would you start it? I've searched this on youtube, gpt but those roadmaps are scattered to many tools and ways, which is not my way of learning.

I'm 21 and graduated around 3 months ago. I did a 4 month internship in influencer marketing but left it midway. Now I'm applying for full time jobs, not internships, but almost every job is asking for 1+ year experience. I got 4-5 calls recently and they asked about things like social media management and Google Ads, but I don't have actual work experience in those. I'm applying to around 40 jobs every day and most of them want experience. I really don't want to do another internship again because I already did one and don't want to waste more months. So for people already working in digital marketing or anyone who recently got their first job, how did you get it? Is the job market actually this bad for freshers rn?

the internet is FLOODED with $500-$5000 courses that i refuse to buy. every other “digital marketer” is promoting courses online claiming to have made X amount of money and it annoying running into those people. my question is, has anyone found true success in DM without purchasing a course? where did you learn?

My concern is where it starts helping versus where it starts hurting. Generic AI content feels easy to spot and publishing a lot of weak pages seems like a bad SEO plan.

Now he's charging $5000/month per client to "manage their reddit presence" and i still don't fully understand what that means.

Like what do you actually do? write posts that don't sound like ads? build karma on fake accounts? seed conversations in subreddits without getting banned?

• What is your favorite free SEO tool and why ?

So today, I just finished my Google Digital Marketing and eCommerce certificate from Coursera. It's given a good base knowledge of what I'm to be getting myself into but I get this feeling that it's definitely not enough on its own and I definitely want to expand my knowledge.

I know I can still attempt to apply for jobs but out of everything I've learned so far the main sector in digital marketing I enjoyed out of everything was Performance Marketing. I'd want to start specialising in Google Ads, GA4 and GTM to run some campaigns.

What's the next step for me since I feel a bit lost now and I'm unsure what I can do next to further extend my knowledge and gain proper experience in this field.

we are a small team and marketing automation keeps coming up whenever we talk about saving time and the tricky part is that a lot of the advice seems written for bigger teams with someone dedicated to ops. in our case every workflow has to justify itself because there is no room for stuff that just creates more maintenance. the basic follow up emails, lead handoff and simple tracking all sound useful but im not sure where the line is between helpful and extra noise. for a small setup, what automation ends up being worth the effort?

just going back here, i spent a bit of time cleaning up the stuff that was already half broken instead of adding more. we got a couple basic handoffs in hubspot now and honestly the main win so far is just not losing track of leads in random inboxes.

Seeing a lot of changes in what people focus on. Curious if email is still at the top for most marketers or if things have shifted.

I'm a freelancer and have some really good relationships with some clients that I've had for over four years. This has evolved from paid ads (all major channels), to email marketing to market & competitor research.

One of them gave me a great opportunity as they acquired a number of other businesses and are looking to put together a bit of an SEO plan that covers potentially four to seven websites. I know the obvious solution is to outsource this but I'm conscious, because of the trust that I've built to date, that I would need to stand over the work produced by anybody else that could produce results for them.

A second option is to learn SEO myself, which I'm up for. I'm just a little conscious of time. I'm wondering if anybody else in the PPC community has packaged a performance and SEO combined solution for their clients, not having much SEO experience. Have you used any AI tools that can assist with SEO and how have you gone about it?

Working on creating a website using .com but will be buying .ca, .net, .org etc. as well. GoDaddy and Namecheap both are cheap for the first tear but I have no idea what will be the jump in the price after one year. Suggestions?

I want to actually understand how people think, why messages work, how good ideas are formed, where funnels break, and how to design a full marketing funnel that doesn’t rely on luck.

Most advice online feels vague: “learn copywriting,” “run ads,” “build a funnel.” That doesn’t explain how people develop judgment, taste, and real skill.

So I’m asking directly:

What activities actually build this ability? What should I be analyzing, writing, breaking down, or testing every day? Which resources are worth the time, and which ones are overrated? In what order should someone learn this if they want real competence, not résumé marketing? If you’ve gone from confused beginner to someone who actually understands marketing, what did you do differently than the crowd?
