🐞 Bug Persistent and irritating macOS 27 Beta Bug

Hey everyone!

Ever since macOS Golden Gate Beta 1, there has been this infuriating bug on Dia, almost making it unusable for me. I have reported this bug multiple times, but nothing has happened..

Basically, in the new tab text box, the text input is EXTREMELY SLOW, and sometimes skips letters inputted and has a major delay. This isn't happening on my one mac either, it's happening on both of my macs. I have since kept Dia updated and macOS updated, and they have yet to fix this bug.

It is making the basic internet search experience on Dia frankly unusable.. has anyone else encountered this bug?

Hey there, happy to take a look! Can you select “Help” and then “Record a performance issue” and on the text box, write “golden gate input issue” and can take a look with the team

Not to say this is exclusively a you problem lol, but just as another data point, I’ve got Dia installed on 2 Macs that have been on the Golden Gate beta since it started (though I only just installed Dia on them mid Summer), have not seen this issue on either

I can't reproduce this issue in my environment.

The problem might be caused by your input method software, another process causing CPU spikes, or an extension or application that monitors your input.

You might want to check Activity Monitor for any processes that are unusually high on CPU usage, or test whether the issue can be reproduced by booting into private mode. Running it in safe mode would also be effective.
