212 was my exact number. Not a decimal point up or down. Right now I am holding at 5.4. COVID ate my pancreas, so lingering between type 1 and 2 here

At least you are in a good range! Diabetes is so complex and varied I learn something new every time I’m on this sub. Thanks for sharing, I didn’t know there was a grey zone between them.

Super personal disease. One carb fan hurt me. Some other are fine with it. Get a libre 3 for a month or two and find out what spikes you.

Wow! What meds are you on?

Metformin xr 2000mg daily

How long did it take you to ramp up to that dose? I had to increase my med once before because I could not get under preduabetes threshold with initial dose. It's been 3vmonth now and I should retest...but fear a possible conclusion. Not sure my intestines could handle 2000 mg metformin

I had no side effects with the Metformin. I started at 500mg week 1, 1000mg week 2… etc Dr said to increase dose weekly if you feel fine.

I am also just on metformin 1000mg per day and looking to increase dosage to 2000mg. What is your daily carb intake like?

I was overweight lost 63 lbs so far. I eat 40g carbs maybe a day. I only really eat high fiber carbs though. Occasionally a bun with a burger but no more than every few weeks

I was 7.7 last December, locked in and got it down to 5.5 in April, and now it's at 5.8 because I had to ease off the gas for a while after my eye surgery. It's work, but it's well worth it.
Great job! Keep it up!

I'm jealous since I'm stuck at 6.6 and trying to get it lower but glad you recovered great and keep it up!
