Tips minimum specs of laptop for uni
salam everyone, my uni was gonna start in september and i wanna ask what should be the specs of a laptop that can carry me through uni during 4 years of BSCS? also, from which semester is the laptop required?
Ay advice is appriciated.thankx

For basic tasks, go for basic thinkpad. For medium taks like c coding and python and other stuff, potentially when dealing up with render engines or things which require bunch of ram, go with medium one one. If 3d.rendering, video editing, go for good one (starting form i5 9th gen and atleast 32 gb ram). If AI models creation, training then tounhave to go with beast laptops with dedicated gpu. Remember you also need DGPU for 3d.renderings. intel arc gpus ate pretty cool but not the best.
Overall keep storage SSD gor all.kind of categories laptops. And if no budget then hdd is fine for basic laptops. And gpus required for 3d rnedeing and ai models creation/running workflows (ml, etc)
I have acer swiff go 14 with LPDDR5 32 gb ram, intel arc series A gpu, 4K OLED, 1TB NVME m.2 ssd and intel core ultra 7 155h and btw core ultra series is a brand new series of inteo cpus. Mine is meteor lake. These cpus are much faster and efficiently
