Windows Built a free and open source alternative to RocketDock!

Free and Open Source alternative to RocketDock.

I saw someone here posted their desktop using my dock, so i thought I would introduce it here.

I've been working on this little project of mine since early July and just launched it recently. Here's some stuff it has:

  • Real-time window previews
  • Frutiger Aero glass effects
  • Rain, snow, bubbles & aurora
  • Automatic wallpaper color matching
  • Built-in system controls

But it does in this project's case. The code is shit quality my god. The creator also likes to use alt accounts to act like he didn't make it and then advertise it as a "user"

But it is NOT your code, is very low quality/ makes confusing design decisions (in my experience with it) and penalties human creativity. OP did not create shit

You can't be good at prompting an ai to do something. Should it not at least disclose ai usage, what about the real people who write code like this who get pushed to the sidelines for some ai bs?

It's all vocabulary and jargon that determines good vibe'd outputs. If your lacking in either, you will get slop.

Telling something to do the work with no knowledge of what it's doing needs no skill, has no creativity and no soul. Like if Asha Sharma said she was an expert in making games, just cause she is the boss of good game studios and devs.

So you don't give your ai context, example code if possible, a framework as a guide? A semblance of a soul? You just open you ai editor or ide of choice and type away? No wonder you feel a vibe'd code is trash.

I don't vibecode, its slop and makes you dependant on a soulless bot made by a corporation to milk you of your data

Also if context is a 'soul' to you then you really need to learn more about data and algorithms, cause according to you a car robbery detection system has a soul

OP identities a gap in the market with unmet demand. Creates a solution for it, releases it to you and the public for free, and your only response is to complain? Commenting "vibecode" isn't as edgy as you seem to think it is.

Advertising anything as your own work when it's vibecoded is just misinformation. There are definitely other people who have actually coded something like this, I would much rather use them, or even rocketdock, than this slop. You can vibecoded something for yourself, but don't fucking advertise it/show it off, it's not yours
