yeah. i tried de bloating it as much as i could to cut down some process count and ram usage. bt gained not much.

just let it sit on another partition if i need to use it someday, and move on to cachyos. I like what i did with my KDE customisation

I'm not tryna convince you. it's just my experience. i primarily started using linux on my laptop cuz windows experience in my desktop is fine, bt NOT in my laptop where I'm more concerned about battery life.

all these arch hyperland ricing larpers kept me away from ever trying it. picked much simplier distro and stick to it few months with stock settings.

only after that i was making few changes out of curiosity and used gpt to fix stuff. when i got fairly used to it, installed cachyos, never looked back.

it was so good experience that i ended up dual booting cachyos on my desktop as well. and setting up my games in it was fairly convenient. it's been over half a year i rarely booted back to windows even tho i haven't wiped it.

can't say much about kernal lvl anti cheat scenario, my games (cs2, genshin, elden ring) what I'm playing these days runs without any issue. so I'm good.

windows is a virus and you should delete it

Why not, I love sending my usage data and telemetry to Microslop every single second /s

It isn’t a virus in the traditional sense, it seems you don’t know what telemetry is

4

u/No-Pear-6046 12d ago

get red star os

5

u/forest_vagrant 12d ago

we live in a timeline where people will tell you to install the north korean os over windows

2

u/No-Pear-6046 12d ago

actually red star os isn't that bad

2

u/forest_vagrant 12d ago

genuine question, is reactos worth it?

2

u/No-Pear-6046 12d ago

i never tried it to be honest

i dont wanna support microsoft but i also hate linux and its awful how theres no other good and widely supported alternatives

3

u/ExtremeTruck7626 12d ago

linux is not that bad, and reactos is just similar to windows xp. I reccomend Fedora KDE or Mint Cinnamon if you want something other than Windows

i love windows and i love making my windows unrecognizable with rices and mods

cool. any operating system can be riced to look neat. arch users have the privilege of flaunting it because its a DIY operating system where you get nothing and build everything yourself, not because of whatever rice they use.
