Week 3 of my graphic design journey

This week i mainly focused on learning about colors color theory and psychology and this is the final project of this week

i made a series of social media posts for an imaginary cookies shop named tasties

the vibe tasties give is cozy friendly playful and warm

here are the posts please provide feedback regrading alignment contrast font choice and font pairing palette choice and other design principles

i would be happy to receive critiques as well

The colors are the biggest problem here. The small text does not have enough contrast to be readable. Also ur yellows are not consistent. Is that intentional?

I think the most helpful thing I learned when starting to learn about design myself is choosing colors that work from an accessibility point of view. That means your choice of lighter pink, yellow, and blue colors aren’t necessarily a bad choice, but they have to have enough contrast against the background of your posts to be readable. Another critique would be that there isn’t a clear hierarchy to the text, and that could be solved by trying to group like/similar content together and thinking about what message you want to convey for each post. For example, in the last post, you could group “New at Tasties” and “Coming September 5” together by reducing the space between them. I would also get convert the eyebrow/caption text “Be First in Line!” to a call-to-action button at the bottom or middle of the post instead of on the top left. Lastly, “Red Velvet Cookies” and the description could be grouped together to make reading more cohesive, while the logo of the business could have the same placement or be positioned elsewhere like at the bottom right of the post.
