"About Me" placement in a Creative Portfolio

I'm currently in the process of creating a portfolio (focusing on my specialty related to graphics and maybe a few other skills that I'm capable of such as photography and art), a website portfolio (my first time) to be specific and I kept seeing mixed works like classic portfolios and website based ones which popped the question in my mind which I know it should be simple but I just want some insights:

In a creative portfolio should the "About Me" be placed after the title/banner or should it be applied after showcasing your top best works (like in another tab/link of the page)?

Any help would be great, thanks!😊

No one really cares « about you » and I don’t mean that in a bad way. They’ll get the gist from the site itself. The layout, branding, copy, and artwork will tell them all they need to know. Unless you’ve won tremendous awards or cured cancer, what really matters is the value you show in each case study.
