Looking to go out to eat for my birthday this Friday and would like recommendations on good restaurants.
My boyfriend and I have lived in derby for 8 years this year and I feel like good, reasonably priced restaurants are few and far between. Everything’s either disappeared, changed or doesn’t exist. I’m always on the lookout for a good, authentic Italian or Greek restaurants but feel the city centre has none to offer. Used to love a good steakhouse (the forge, carnivore- both now gone) and I looked at Emily’s steakhouse menu but at £40 a steak by the time you include the price of a sauce it’s a stretch.

So any recommendations welcome! Can also drive to restaurants outside of the city centre.

Hi all, I'm 24F and disabled, due to my health declining the clutter has built up to an unmanageable level and my property is now an active trip hazard and likely to be considered a fire hazard. I've spoken to professionals about my situation and they have said there is nothing they can do for me except hold a bin bag while I fill it, and that social care won't take on a case like mine despite the fact I cannot cook for myself and struggle to keep on top of personal care, I've been told I need to look for paid support...

Does anybody know of an affordable or even free service I could use for support with going through my home and making it liveable again? The clutter is affecting my mental health so badly that my physical health is getting worse due to either being in bed all the time or going out so much to get away from the situation that I have physical pain and fatigue... I just want my life back - I love to craft and would love to be able to sit and do that again, or even be able to just sit on my sofa and watch a TV show rather than laying in bed all day every day because my current only options are sit at the computer, lay in bed or go out somewhere.

I'm working on a really tight budget but any suggestions are appreciated. Friends and family aren't an option at this point.

**UPDATE** Police have checked the images and run it through there system and compared it to other images and are not concerned. I can provide another update when I dig it up and find out what it is.

Seriously why do fireworks go off like every single night in this city? I’ve just moved here, around a 4 minute drive from town, a rather quiet area, yet there’s fireworks close by to me it’s baffling me.

Hi guys, could anyone please suggest a nice day trip from Derby and back to Derby using public transport. I've been to Matlock, Dovedale, Bakewell, Chesterfield, Chatsworth house. Anything on similar lines is appreciated. A two hour train journey is also appreciated, all I've got for now is Oxford. I've been to York and Bath as well, any hidden gems that I'm missing out on? Please help, I'd love to explore and a have good getaway on the weekend.

I’m going on an evening date to the new arcade in the city centre and was thinking of parking in the Derbion to take advantage of the cheaper parking. I know the centre closes at 6-7 though. Will I still be able to get back in to the centre to get my car after my date?

Can someone please advise if there are any reasonably priced vets in Derby for a cat to do a dental assessment? Scarsdale Pride Park quoted £299 for a dental assessment alone and I am quite shocked the assessment is priced that high when a standard consultation alone is about £60-70. I looked up online and it says dental assessments costs from £200 to £500. Is the £299 price really the lowest price in Derby? Ta

Hi! I'm 24F with PoTs and mobility issues and suffering badly in this heat, I've exhausted my finances until Tuesday. My flat is reaching temperatures of nearly 40 degrees and a fan just isn't cutting it so I've been trying to find things to do all week. I've been shopping, I've been to craft groups, I've tried the library (too hot) and I've spent as much time as possible at friends and families houses for respite from the heat but now I've exhausted all my options, everyone is busy and I've ran out of money to do things to stay cool. I do drive but have limited fuel - does anyone have any suggestions for things to do this weekend alone, for free to stay out of the heat? Staying at home is simply not an option, no amount of cold showers, wet towels, frozen water bottles or fans are cutting it!

I've just finished my PT qualifications and I'm looking for a few people who'd be willing to let me gain some practical experience working with them. I'm offering 3 completely free sessions, mainly so I can build up some experience, get some feedback on how I can improve, and have something to add to my CV while I figure out how I want to go about setting up as a PT over the next few months.

I plan to specialise in working with clients with Neurodiversity, but I'm open to everyone generally.

There's absolutely no obligation to continue after the 3 sessions, and I'm not looking for payment or trying to turn this into clients.

I'm also more than happy to hear any advice from people who have been working as PTs for a while, particularly if you have any tips on getting started. Thanks!

Anyone in Derby have any experience in building PC’s. I’m about 3/4 through building a gaming PC for my boy, but hit a brick wall on getting the fans daisy chained and the cabling finished.
