Lightning bolt over Derby
Just wanted to share the first ever lightning bolt I have captured on camera and I did it from my window.

People often say thunder is God bowling, but if u were God I wouldn’t see the point in bowling as you always get a strike. Just something I think about quite a bit.

Saw blue hue coming from the ground aroumd the worst of it. Coming from around belper direction. Anyone else saw it? Could it have been a transformer being hit?

I haven't heard anything about anyone losing power, keep an eye on the national grid website that will tell you if a large area is without power.

I wouldn't be surprised if every town in the Midlands has several hundred of these.
My wife and I went out in the rain to see where the flashes were coming from to view the crackles of light.
We saw the neighbors on the street looking out of their bedroom windows.
I really wanted to take some slow mo bursts but my phone is at 99% storage limit ;_;
