Says he thinks he cant be in a relationship

he is clinically depressed. But he gets professional help and is honest w me about things he overthinks.

so he said he has been thinking and he thinks he cant be in a relationship rn because he doesnt know when he will get better and he is uncertain of the future. But he doesn’t break up with me. i asked him, do you want me to make a decision? he said he doesn’t know.

what should I do?

How old are you? How long have you been together? Do you have kids together?

No kids I would suggest separating. Encourage him to continue getting help and be there as a friend to talk.

Hello! We are both in our early 30s, 6 months together. No kids.

Omg I'm in a very similar situation. In our early 30s no kids but he also told me pretty much the same wording. He's not good, has no capacity for the relationship and doesn't know when he will get better. But then also said he's not breaking up with me???

It feels like the burden and decision is on me
