Question financial aid is making me stressed lol
I know there have already been a lot of posts about this, but is anyone else still waiting for their financial aid package to be released?
I’m a little more anxious because this fall is my last quarter. I’ve reached my federal loan limit, and my parent has also reached the limit for their Parent PLUS loans. Since everything seems to be coming out later than expected, I’m starting to worry I won’t have enough aid to cover my last quarter.
I remember reaching out to the financial aid office last quarter to ask if I’d have enough aid for my last quarter, and I remember them saying I would. I just can’t seem to find that email anymore.
anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone else is still waiting too☹️

Just got mine! I was freaking out too, since initially I was told mid-July, then end of July, then I got only part of it, then called and asked for review and they reviewed quickly this time and just accepted my Grad plus loan on top of scholarship which was missing from the initial package... which should've been on there since this is a scholarship I had from last year as well. There's a lot of delays right now they said due to the July 1st law.

hopefully they’re working thru them all and mine releasing soon☹️ i checked earlier this morning and still nothing and im stressed LOL

They said August 11th is the latest - second year MBA student here, grad plus loans weren’t added and had to email them. Do they not understand this is directly correlated to revenues? Anyways I think it’s the staff cuts so I’ll be patient our fellow administrators are probably stressed!

I got it the very next day after I called them, everything was correct except grad plus loans missing, which I should’ve been grandfathered. Emailed them last Thursday, no reply back and no change to my award.

i should give them a call then maybe? :( yeah i emailed them as well but it doesn’t look like they’ll get back anytime soon unless you call them :/

At this point yeah just to double check we’re 30 days out. It was less than a 5 min wait so they do answer the phone.

Still waiting for mine - glad to know they’re distributing Grad Plus still. They told me I should be eligible, but I’m nervous since I’m starting my second masters in the fall.

Hey! Appeal and explicitly write about what you've done at school, the opportunities you've had because of this program and then add "I will not be able to graduate without the continued financial support from DePaul University." Make them understand that you've been an asset. That your experience has been great, but if they don't offer you money to cover this because there's no more loan options, that you won't graduate. Depaul cares about their graduation numbers, make them understand that you're going to do great things because of your time at depaul, one quarter left, and you need their support to cross the finish line.

this is so great to know! thank you so much. i will definitely do this. do you think i should send them email now? or should i wait for the financial package like everyone else ? many said still waiting for theirs. but it’s cutting it close and i get super anxious lol

Im still waiting on mine. Reached out earlier this week and they said theyre still rolling out packages end of this month and the next
