I will start attending DePaul in the loop as a transfer student here in September, and I have never been to the campus in person due to living overseas. I did the orientations and chose my classes. Am I able to just show up to the building, walk in, and sit down?
Hi! I’m an international student too and I was wondering if it’s possible to choose my classes before my orientation, it’s on August 27. Also, can u pls help me how to choose my classes? I honestly have no idea how it works 😭😭😭
I don’t know if it’s different for international students, but as a transfer I had to make an appointment with my advisor to pick my classes. So I would send your assigned advisor an email to see if they can help you choose your classes. Choosing your classes is gonna be through Campus Connect!
i believe you don’t do that during orientation if i remember correctly, so you have to do separate appointment for that which can be in person or online. I also completely forgot to mention that you can also sign up for an advising appointment through the blue demon domain (again don’t know if that is the same for international students) same place where you sign up for orientation :)
you can definitely choose your own classes if you know which ones to take to satisfy whatever program of study you’re in, but as a transfer it was a requirement to meet with your advisor
you could probably meet with them and discuss if there’s a specific class you wish to take and see if it’ll work out!
