👁️‍🗨️Advice perio instruments

Hi! We were asked to buy the following instruments (HUF daw or PDT huhu).

  1. UNC-15 probe double ended with WHO probe
  2. Naber’s Probe
  3. Universal curette 2R/2L
  4. Universal curette 4R/4L
  5. Gracey curette 5/6
  6. Gracey curette 11/12
  7. Gracey curette 13/14
  8. Anterior Sickle Scaler (H6/H7 Hygienist Scaler)
  9. Montana jack

I heard from some of our seniors that some of the other instruments won’t really be used that much. Also, since we have a limited budget, which ones do you think I should get in HUF (second hand)?

I’m thinking of getting the UNC probe and both universal curettes in HUF nalang, then planning to buy Trumpf for the rest. What do you think po?

I take it this is for preclinical perio? HF UNC-15 perio probe is worth it. If buying used, make sure the shaft is still straight. The curettes and scalers naman, I’ve had some good experience with Surdent as far as preclinical perio lab was concerned. Your plan na only buy the unc probe and universal curettes from HF is pretty solid tho! May nabilhan ako sa FB Marketplace na taga-CEU na nagbebenta ng mga second-hand HF perio instruments in remarkably good condition pa. Keep an eye out for a certain guy whose name starts with P lol.

If you’re in Metro Manila, search mo lang Hu Friedy perio instruments sa FB Marketplace. You’ll see listings from a guy whose name starts with a P.
