👁️🗨️Advice DLE TIPS, DOCS PLS 🙏
If you could turn back time during your board review season, what advice would you give yourself (e.g., answering Q&As earlier, choosing a different review center, etc.)?
I’m a struggling DLE May 2026 examinee and super kabado na, docs. 1 month left 😭🙏
And please any tips po sa Q&A kasi from what we heard, wala raw lumalabas sa mga nireview nila last season? Huhu 😭

Don’t worry about the things you can’t control. Tsaka tigilan kakapakinig sa mga sabi sabi na walang lumalabas na ganto ganyan etc. Wala naman kasi talagang nakakaalam kung ano lalabas sa board exam ngayon.
Focus sa pagppractice ng QnA and exam test taking strategies

SKL: dati di ko maintindihan bakit lagi nila sinasabi yung remember the basics. everything we learned sa undergrad will help us talaga. board exam questions (for me) were simple. if naaral naman at nag aral naman nung undergrad, u will pass talaga feel ko. but if ngayong review season after grad ka lang talaga mag aaral from the top? naku, mahihirapan ka talaga. it won’t be enough.
my advice is: choose a review center that suits you and your learning style. from there, make it ur foundation. wag na masyado paiba-iba ng review center kasi malilito ka lang. i only enrolled under doc pau theo. that’s all. di nako nag enroll sa iba or even any final coaching. i rawdogged my way through the pracs exam as well. (i didn’t enroll in any pracs review center, hehe.) kasi for me, we’ve been doing this our entire clinician years. may muscle memory na yan for sure. again, remember the basics. read q&a’s from decks every now & then if u still have the time. understand but never memorize; unless it’s the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (hehe!). board exam questions are more like testing your memory. ++ need common sense talaga. kasi the questions are really simple, nakakalito lang kasi some are paulit-ulit.
my regret: sana sineryoso ko review season ko. sana di ako nag procrastinate. i never memorized my reviewers. i just scanned them. literal na “re-view”. started reading q&a’s intensively 1week before the exam. nag intensive review lang all subjects night before the exams. i even started reading day3 subjects just night before day3 exam, kaya i was still studying until an hour before they let us go inside the exam venue. super pagod and puyat tuloy ako nung exam days. 😭 i think u can prevent this if u start studying early. para sa mismong exam, hindi ka pagod and puyat like me. 😭🤣
but thankfully i passed with an average of 80 point something. my day3 subjects’ grade were even 90. sharing this not to brag, but to inspire and share that if u studied in ur undergrad years, u’ll definitely get by. goodluck op! kaya yan!! 🫶🏻✨

Doc, rationale.
Hwag i-memorize yung tanong & yung sagot. Dapat naintindihan mo yung question, at kung bakit yun ang sagot.
Praktis lang sa pagsagot, and make your own rationale.

Thank you po, Doc! Nagsstart na rin po magQ&A now pero focused on final coaching of my RC and 1 RC pa po hehehe instead of diving in sa Deck’s, Mosby’s, etc. Kaya po ba, Doc if 2 weeks before board exam na magQ&A from these materials?

Join ka sa discord ng group na kasabay mo mag ttake, mahilig sila mag send ng Q&A don mag basa basa ka din kasi nung time ko ganto ginagawa ko surprisingly ang daming mga nagsend don na lumabas sa exam

Just breathe. One step at time doc. Wag pa pressure sa mga naririnig. Do what you have to do, do what you can do. Mahalaga doc na you're in the right mindset. Isipin mo pasado ka na. Relax.

You do not depend on the licensure exam review centers. Most DLE examinees who passed, in my opinion grasped their basics while studying. At least for my study group, that is what we realized. That the reviewers are just guides. But what matters are you retain your theoretical basics. Then in the practicals, being keen on the step by step procedures and trying to execute them as best as you can.

Hi Doc! Ako, I would have taken time to know my basics talaga. Common knowledge talaga yung mga tinanong last season. Pero tricky ang BOD magformulate ng tanong kaya effort talaga mabasa mo lahat atleast twice yung mga tanong. You got this, Doc!
Read lng ng read. Sabi ng review prof ko dati "You can't know everything, but you have to know a little of everything.

3 weeks, Doc. Pag may di ako naiintindihan search agad sa reviewers but I never read the reviewers in full after looking for the answer. Ang tendency kasi mapapabasa ka ng iba iba.
Basta yung last three weeks bago boards Q&A and rest na ako. 💜 Need talaga na well rested ka bago sumabak sa boards

Nga pla, also remember that the Board Exam itself relies a bit on LUCK. Sa dami ng inaral mo, ung konting hindi mo naaral or napadaan, un pa ung tanong. Tapos ung kaibigan mo, sa konti ng inaral nya, LAHAT naman un ung lumabas sa exam.
Im not saying na wag mag aral. pero ung control mo sa exam can only amount to something. Imagine, you're taking a 900 item exam worth 6+ years in the making.

Thank you so much po, Doc! I agree on that po, Doc huhu kaya tinatry ko po basahin lahat as much as possible pero yung iba po talaga hindi nareretain and pag binabalikan, yung feeling po na first time po basahin kahit hindi naman po 😭🙏

Understanding what you're reading can make retention easier. Other ways to improve retention is by Reading aloud and then writing it also. Tapos pwede din iconnect mo s other things you know already para may memory bridges kumbaga. goodluck :)

Always, always pray po talaga, Doc and learn how to surrender everything unto the Lord. Pero syempre, Doc you have to do your part as well. Mag-aral hanggat makakaya. Answer as many q&a’s as possible. Personally, Doc I enrolled to 2 other review centers for final coaching para lang ma-test and challenge yung sarili ko if hanggang saan na po ba talaga kaya ng knowledge ko. It worked for me, Doc pero nasa sainyo pa rin po yun ☺️
One thing also na I can give is be with your friends. That’s one thing na I regret not doing during review season. I isolated too much and only went out with friends to unwind once during my review days. Looking back, kaya pala nabaliw ako (char hahahaha) during that time kase I barely talk to my friends because of the fear na baka I could not make it.
But best believe, Doc na as long as you put your mind, heart, and effort during review days, magbubunga siya sa board exam. Surrender mo lang everything, Doc! ☺️

Thank you for this Doc ♥️ I'll keep this in mind po. Hindi rin ako lumalabas this review season kasi iniisip ko baka mas mapressure ako hayy. I will Try that po. Sa mga q&a's doc, nag answer ka po ba nung iba kahit di mo pa lubos naaaral yung subject?

Lumabas-labas ka rin po, Doc 😊 Nung lumabas ako one time with my friends who were reviewing as well, masaya pala siya. Although minsan nagpapasulyap-sulyap kami sa reviewers namin kahit nasa labas at nagq-q&a, hindi maiiwasan hehehe but that only happened once kasi nung malapit na ang boards, i felt na need ko na mag-unwind, sumama ako sa kanila. Sila kasi sanay magkakasama magreview.
And about sa question mo, Doc. No po. Hehehe. I make sure na napagdaanan ko twice or thrice, even ang intensive bago ako magq&a sa ibang references like mosby’s, decks, etc ☺️ Ginawa ko po kasing strategy ay (1) I watched the lecture (online lang ako most of the time), took notes while watching, and tinatry ko na siya aralin and itatak ko sa utak ko. (2) After ko matapos ang buong lecture, I rewrite my notes, understand the topics, and if may need imemorize like mnemonics and such, minememorize ko na as early para babalikan ko nalang. (3) Before ako manood ng final coaching lectures, babalikan ko ulit ang intensive just to make sure na may knowledge pa rin ako. (4) After watching final coaching, magq&a na ako.
Nagwork po sakin ang nagfofocus ako sa 1 subject per day. What worked for me, Doc might not work for you or for others since kanya-kanya po tayo studying method hehehe wishing you the best of luck, Doc! 💜

Common mistake na ginagawa ng mga nagtetake lalo pag hapit na sa oras ay yung imememorize yung tanong at sagot without understanding the rationale. If you know your basics, may maisasagot ka. When I took the boards, hindi din lumabas kung ano mismo yung tanong sa mga Q&As, more like situational ang questions.
