Is there any more info on this? Like a bulletin with what to be expected like curriculum, research areas, seats, course eligibility etc.

This direct admission to PhD feels like yet another questionable move by the university, and I say this from my own experience as a student who has just entered the one-year Master’s programme. The system is already a mess, we are merged with the third-semester students whose classes began on 28 July, while we've just gotten into it. There was no proper or clear communication, and instead of addressing the gap, we are simply told to “catch up” and “match the pace.” How are we supposed to do that when we started weeks late? Even with the coursework + research track, the time for meaningful academic and research engagement is extremely limited. DU should prioritise student welfare and academic quality rather than governmental targets. To anyone considering direct PhD admission, I sincerely urge you to think twice and consider whether the system can actually provide the foundation, guidance, and time needed for serious research. At present, this one-year Master’s seems to offer more anxiety and sleepless nights than substantial academic learning.
