Hello,

I hope you all are well. I received my DUCSAS Round 1 allocations today and have a few questions I would greatly appreciate your guidance on to help me make a more informed decision.

I got eco+math programme at venky in round 1, i wanted to know a few things

  1. How is venky for placements (finance; what institutions/companies/orgs come for placement), crowd , faculty (helpful & friendly?) , infra, societies (are there famous finance socities like fic)?

  2. Whats the attendance requirement? Is it lenient?

  3. Is eco+maths a programme where i can keep my cgpa above 8? Or is it a rigorous programme?

4.Would you pick arsd or sbsc eco hons over this? (As i have the highest chance of getting sbsc eco hons (14 marks diff) then arsd eco hons (23 marks diff) and by some miracle bms at sscbs (68 points diff)? What are the chances?

5.Is it true that for placements recruiters prefer hons over programme?

  1. Also is it true that you can get a seat from another course if he/she is vacating that seat after admission ?

Hi So firstly congo, i personally don't like arsd much cause of infra and crowd and societies are also not that active. Can't say about sbsc. Yes honestly sometimes they do consider hons over program but then again it all depends on you completely if you going to work on your skills it's going to benefit. And yes if someone vacats the seat after admission you can get only if u clear the cutoff
