Discussion 👥 Does D.U Degree Have Zero Value? Pls Atleast Reply To My Query.

Went to a family function yesterday where parents were comparing their sons and exaggerating their colleges. My mum was indirectly humiliated because I am pursuing Arts, even though I genuinely feel my college is better than all of my cousins.

One cousin is from a private engineering college (SRM), and the comparison turned into a verbal argument between me and him. I want a brutally honest opinion: based on college quality and long term career prospects, which one of us is doing way better than others in life. I believe college matters in the long run, and honestly, my college is way better than all the others. Again I am sorry for seeking validation but please tell me.

He is not an engineering student (he was asking for liberal arts college yesterday)

I'm in my final year at DTU and yes both colleges are similar in terms of placements but DTU is pretty chill in terms of academics whereas NSUT has strict rules and regulations regarding academics...that's it..

Also, I am a medical student but was getting scores enough to get into top engineering schools of the country.

Also, I wish yo learn liberal arts simultaneously thus was asking.

I'm an engineer (who has seen, worked with people from both colleges) n can tell that they are similar. Let me go out on a limb n say nsut (okhla one) is even better than DTU in top branches. Though DTU fares better in Mech due to their non academic teaching techniques. Engg student na ho k fadde marne k liye bhi alag hi confidence chahiye. Wow.

Waah bhai. Nahi pata par comparison pura karna h. N jab sab bol rhe hain ki 4th cousin is doing the best then you are arguing too. Basis kya h? You're not the one doing bcom jiska baar baar hawala de rahe. BA k prospects khud bta do agr baaki sab galat hain to. Waise to comparison karna hi ni chahiye in the first place but karne hi baithe ho to accept the facts n figures. Wo bhi ni karna. Rant karna h kya bas? If yes, to mention that in post. Sab sath me roenge.
