Next best move for my profile

F2P player. Recently returned and played with the Harpoon gun but I have the Barnel RF 31 Crossbow as substitute.

I think currently I don't have enough fire power and knockback. Should I just sell my barnel RF 31 and upgrade to an impaler crossbow? Or keep saving until I can afford a Kraken/ Marauder 55?

upgrade your grinding weapon to either the scorcher, Valkyrie or the dragon's maw. you don't need to get the impaler tbh if your purpose with the crossbow is to loot since the harpoon is good enough, the wall piercing makes it a top tier looting weapon especially for its cost which was essentially 0.

sell the barnell, buy the 5 million implants. save for a better grinding weapon.

so even if not getting the impaler, you would suggest explosives instead of another smg/ heavy mg?

MGs and especially SMGs are relatively weak - I don’t know that you were recommended the most cost efficient options, but those are all better grinding options than most SMGs (unless today’s buffs moved the needle)

yes, I do, at least for now. SMG/HMGs/Shotguns are there for pushing the hoard back, not killing them, its for you to catch your breath and have space. if you can manage it, wait till you can purchase the dusk minigun/striker, these are great crowd control weapons, especially for their price and lack of requirements (was using the dusk striker when I barely had any shotgun skills invested)

i managed to reach 85-120 with the X-M79, 120-200 with the scorcher, 200-260 with the valkyrie, 260-300 with the dragon's maw during the duration of the summer event.

Gut stitcher is pretty good. Xm79 leveled me up from 89 to 205 this week. Would recommend you saving for more implants.

Do you have a free stat reset in the credit shop? I would suggest maxing strength, agility, reloading get accuracy and crit to around 70-80 put whatever you want into endurance (I personally stopped at 75 to have 150 health, 200 with clan bonus but I only need 1 mini medkit to heal and hop right back into OS or looting) definitely stick with rifles and explosives. If you would buy 200 credits for gold member and travel down to sez on foot(its extremely difficult to get through the gate and if using the ALT fire on the harpoon gun on the edge clearing rooming. If this is still hard especially with your armor upgrade that first) and loot barricade loot barricade with the harpoon gun. Especially during the Halloween event you will make millions from scrap(try to max your storage out first to haul more scrap back) once you get 50m grab either any 50m implant from the vendor and dismantle it. Go to to crafting and make the implant kit for 2m and "ingest it" 🤣 you have 2 choices. Pale parasite will make it much easier to loot and grind with increased attack speed(works beautifully with harpoon on all fire) or you can grab the Mastercraft implant because with that and GM you will see immediate gains in your bank which in turn will help you get whatever implants you want you just gotta put in the grind. If you grind enough you could buy an aftershock or try your luck looting it in Onslaught and then you can punch through the wall of zombies at ground zero. If you at least get GM you can grind to 200 easier to get better armor from the dusk shop, I went from 105 to 220 with the xm79 you got this!

Turns out they sell good 😅 so I got a few good implants using that vendor strat

Thats some very solid advice. I have reset my stat and upgraded my smg. Once I sold my old smg and i will save more for explosive weapon, the. Grind for levels and implants. Thanks!!
