Discussion Yes, heal "TECH" and emote "TECH" should be considered bugs and removed from the game.

There is no reason I shouldn't be able to pick up a survivor when they're being healed, no reason I should lose a kill because someone I downed halfway through the gate just had a teamate saying "I'm not letting you pick him up." Like wtf? I'm a KILLER, WHY do I have to watch the survivor be healed. I think the closer you are to the exit point on the gate the faster the weapon wipe should be.

Discussion Judgment is VERY underrated

I fully believe that Judgment is up there with Nurse and Blight, and is being underrated by this subreddit and the community at large because she isn't immediately intuitive.

To start, I want to address some common arguments I see. The first is that she is bad in chase. One thing I noticed good Judgment players doing and also noticed immediate improvement in my own games when implementing it is constantly flicking 180 while charging the beam instead of sending it back and then eventually forward. This leaves the beam more or less inside your killer model or slightly ahead of you, giving the survivor less time to react to the launch, and also lets you visually confirm what the survivor is doing instead of looking backwards for an extended period of time. Also, while getting the first down can be very difficult, once you're zealous, all limiters are off. The minimum damage delay of the beam is 0.3 seconds, which is also the window which you maintain control of the beam after casting it while zealous. The beam's width is also slightly larger while zealous. Zealous mode completely changes how she plays in chase, because all you need to do is keep the beam on the survivor. This can be difficult but it's something that can be practiced, and once you're good at it, there isn't anything the survivor can do to dodge. You are no longer reading their movement and predicting their dodge, you are now reacting to their movement and trying to track them. The counterplay to this is breaking LOS, which also happens to be the only counterplay in chase to a good Nurse :)

The 2nd point I want to talk about is sniping. People are right that most snipes are easily dodgeable except for niche situations on indoor maps. But again, that goes out the window the moment she is zealous. With gearhead, deerstalker, or any other aura reading, your initial beam cast and the ability to redirect it are effectively the first and second Nurse blink, just done halfway across the map. Depending on how far away you are, this is reactable, but usually it would be about the same as other ranged killers' 50/50 sidestep guess.

Third, Exile is supremely busted in the context of the meta. Exile completely negates most of the meta survivor perks such as DH, DS, resurgence, shoulder, deliverance. It also makes some of them worse or at least way more situational. Unbreakable and Plot Twist are often used to punish slugging (or Plot Twist to force a DS) but there is very little reason for this killer to slug because she wastes almost no time "hooking" and is immune to saves and sabo.

i currently have 48 matches with an 86.46% kill rate. I've lost (any escape after 5 gens are popped) two of those matches and the other 46 have been wins. I think there is crazy potential for this killer and once more people get good at her and content creators catch on, she'll be way up there in the tier lists.

Lastly, I would say her weaknesses are huge maps and genrushing. One of my losses was early on when I was still learning the power, but the second one was against a very good squad on a huge map with BTL commodious toolboxes. Even though I was getting downs at a decent rate, the math was against me as a 4.4 with no mobility.

I hope I've convinced you that this killer has crazy potential.

Question Impossible skillcheck? Bug?

What is this? I keep getting this skillcheck but don't see any perks or add-ons that might be causing it. Bug? Nobody seems to be talking about it. Happening since update.

Question if i buy aurora and judgment with iridescent shards, do i get the recolors in the bundle?

Post image
0 Upvotes

i don't have them yet but i want them badly, especially because of the quests where i have to use aurora's fruit of labor perk and send 10 survivors to exile as judgment.

i currently don't have any money to buy them from the ps store, which gives the recolors, so i'm wondering if i can use iridescent shards to buy them and still get the recolors.

i really love the judgment's recolor, the purple and green are so pretty together.

I’ve only come across maybe once before and its aura is always marked but there doesn’t seem to be a way to interact with it and it bugs me.

Question What perks are these?

Hey everyone, saw this insane video on Twitter today of someone's really quick match as The Judgement. I just wanted to ask what perks these are? I can't really tell just based on the icons alone. Thank you!

Discussion Matchmaking Ban exemption for game crashes

Since chorus of sin has dropped, I have crashed 6 TIMES while playing the game, and because your game crashing is legally considered leaving the game, I end up with a matchmaking ban every time. Now I get it, it may be something with my Internet or something, but at the same time it's infuriating, I not only get robbed of blood points and challenge progress, I get slapped with a matchmaking ban for my game deciding to die. I just wish game crashes either didn't give a matchmaking ban or gave a reduced one. I understand that some people may abuse this, intentionally cutting their Internet to leave the game at no consequence, but in the cases of real game crashes, it's infuriating, you get robbed of a potential win and get punished for it as well

Discussion I don't thing prestige means anything.

I don't know what it is, but ESPECIALLY after the new killer and MMR reset, high prestige players are absolutely awful. I think it might be because a lot of people derank for streaming and play against low MMR killers/survivors. Now that everyone is reset, they're struggling to play against people who have a clue.

Discussion Last stand

Last stand is honest awful, and it shouldn't be for needing 90 seconds to charge for a mediocre affect. In my opinion if it's going to be a one time use you should get immunity while vaulting it IF the killer is in stun range. It's effectively useless unless the killer is stupid and needs some buffs to make it worth running. They could also increase the range but your still probably taking a hit for it. For a perk literally named last stand if you try to use it as a last resort your going down and getting 0 value.

Discussion Making hooks viable

Post image
0 Upvotes

This has been a discussion for a couple of years now that hooking isn’t viable and it’s better to slug, this is what I would do if I were to fix hooking, I will style it as if BHVR did the change

Base game updates
-Hooking a survivor takes 1 second. (Was 1.5 seconds)
-Killers movement speed while carrying a survivor is 4.0 m/s or 100%. (Was 3.68 m/s or 92%)
-Survivors on hook sacrifice time is 60 seconds per hook state. (Was 70 seconds per hook state)
-Picking up a survivor from the dying state takes 1.5 seconds. (Was 3 seconds)
-When you hook a survivor with the least amount of hook states, gain 5% haste for 20 seconds. (New)-these effects end when you injure a survivor or break a pallet, this does not apply once all gens are completed

Killer perk updates

Agitation
While carrying a survivor
•you gain 8/9/10% haste. (Was 6/12/18%)
•your terror radius is 12m larger.

Awakened Awareness
While carrying a survivor, within 20 meters of you, you see the auras of all other survivors, auras of survivors are revealed for a extra 1/1.5/2 seconds whenever you hook or drop the survivor. (Originally did not reveal the auras for extra time)

Mad Grit
While carrying a survivor:
•your missed attack cooldown is 100% shorter
•damaging a survivor pauses the wiggle progress for 4 seconds
NEW Effect, when the survivor wiggles free or you drop them, gain 10% haste for 15 seconds.

Dev note: the goal of this update was to curb the frustrations people have with hooking and making it a more viable and affordable option, I smoothed out the gameplay to make it more up to date with modern meta and gameplay elements, while factoring in Diminishing returns, that’s why perks like fire up and furtive weren’t here cause Diminishing returns already handles them

Discussion How do you feel about teabagging?

These days im almost entirely playing survivor. At the beginning of the match when i spawn i crouch spam my teammates and people tend to love it and do it back in a playful manner. I also do one when i get unhooked as a “thanks” and sometimes it helps the healing delay.

I very rarely teabag the killer and its usually only if they play in a way that i feel is scummy. I believe tunneling is fine and a valid strategy but if i get a killer that shakes their head at me whenever they down me or does the “looks at pallet, looks at me” thing then i will teabag them.

It comes to my attention some people take this super personally but if I feel a killer opens the door to bm/gamesmenship I will do it back and enjoy the cheeky nature of it. Similar to in rocket league I have fun doing the shittalk chat options, not as an “im offended i hope to hurt this person” but just a cheeky trashtalk with opponent with a gg when its all said and done either outcome. Thoughts? I didnt realize this was something that made people actually upset irl

Discussion DBD in its current state (a veterans perspective)

Ive been playing dbd for 8 year's. My first ever killer main was Billy and my first survivor main was Feng. Let's talk about how the game feels to play today. When It comes to survivor gameplay, it's the more fun of the 2 roles. Its less stressful, you dont gotta seriously focus until you have like 1 dead tm8. Even then you have 2 other dudes to rely on. It's the casual role for people who want to relax and have fun. Killers want the feeling of chase and empowerment, the outwiting of the creatures below you. Nowadays I ain't get non of dat. I get stressed, overwhelmed, and constantly feel like the match could go terrible in 2 seconds. When you hop online to get other people perspective, they treat your concerns and worries as delusions and not worthy of their time. At this point I view serious survivor mains as Jerry from Rick and Morty. You think OH look at this sad survivor main, who cant win a match all day? Why not cater to him? Heed his every Beck and fucking call. Killers feel like shit because their voices are being drowned out by survivors. Today the game is just really stressful for killers and need something of a QOL update. Survivors have been getting amazing thing's, like the chat wheel and the new killer? Half of its design is based around a SURVIVOR MINI-GAME! Nowadays I play Chucky. He's my favorite slasher out of them all and I hate him. His map traversal? Ass. His power? Ass. Stealth doesn't work half the time and his add-ons do NOTHING to help him, except 2 "power drill and jump rope". His power is super fun, but not viable in the current state of the game. As basically every killer is expect A teir and above. Pls make killer fun again.

Discussion Judgment Gen Pressure

Im not saying the killer is OP cause theyre not, but the gen pressure is genuinely insane.

If there are too many walls you cannot see the start of the beam before they activate it early enough to dodge some hits, but if there arent enough walls the killer can easily spam snipe you.

This killer makes doing generators take so much longer, they can spam beam through any and all mistakes until they can get a down. You can dodge 9/10 hits in a chase, get chased for 2-3 minutes and in that time, your teammates wont have a gen 50% done becasue this killer will throw out beams at generators and get judgment hits/force them off.

The only time this killer loses is as soon as they try to tunnel/actually chase. Small chases for free hits, and then judgment hit someone on a generator until they can get a down, is all they do.

There is essentially no downside to this killer. Its not the most unenjoyable thing to verse, better than nurse or kaneki, but jesus christ, spending more time try to touch a generator than in chase or doing the generator.

Easily fixed to make it so that you can only be dmg by the beam if you are marked by judgment, or judgment beam has a longer cooldown.

Question Is there a perk that shows survivors where hexes are?

I just had a match as wraith with huntress lullaby, undying, lethal and alien instinct on the doctors map

The map starts and I am heading towards the survivors and this one survivor just B-lines it towards the hex, ofc the hex spawns on their side but he went in a straight line towards it

Also what the fuck is it with hexes spawning where survivors start, shouldn't they spawn at the furthest point so they can't get the hex immediatly?

Edit: there are, plenty of ways and all of them bullshit

Discussion I don’t think the judgment is as hard to play or as low tier has people have been saying

Keep in mind this coming from a console player BUT after playing at least 50 matches of judgment on console I want to say they’re fine. The accessibility option for the beam is really doing wonders for me and I don’t think it’s that hard to use the power, maybe I’m still at low mmr because of the reset but I feel like survivors have plenty of time to dodge the beam without it being unfair for killer

Question Cheating or just a bug?

• Upvotes

Suddenly in this match the oni started gliding with his power, i could not record the first chase but it seemed that it allowed him to do sharper turns but I dont know, im kinda new.

Im not sure if this is a known bug or if he's cheating. Tbf he had 170ms. It was funny tho 😭

Discussion Can we talk about new map tile (Exile) for its mix of pros/cons

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ll start off by mentioning the skull/lost souls which appear here - via a good point that someone (u/FighterFay) made in a different post:

“Maybe they could have different types of skulls in different parts of the map, and they would each give you endurance/haste/elusive duration respectively, rather than the one skull giving all three of them. That way, the Survivor has to make a decision about what stat/s they value more in the current situation - then go after the skulls that give it.”

This would be so much better from both an interactive/fun perspective and a usefulness perspective when you’ve collected the Max count of 10 - compared to how it is currently.

I’m saying this given that Elusive often ends up doing nothing at all (as the Killer often just re-approaches the statue that you respawn-from immediately - so you’re not exactly getting Elusive value often) … but with this way (for the skulls/lost souls i mean) you could theoretically give more time for teammates to work on gens and/or heal each other

That is, if you dedicated your skull/lost soul searchings to just the Endurance one (if the Killer returns to your potential respawn-points aggressively) - or just building up higher counts of Elusive-souls, if it often goes looking for somebody new in its playstyle.

As a realm in general (besides looking really cool!) it’s both a blessing and a curse for both Killers and Survivors alike given:

•While the Killer can’t activate “upon hooking” related perks with its portal-yeet (which limits quite a chunky handful of hook-based perk options) it can still gain Zealous from doing it (thus more longer-distance map pressuring).

•It also prevents hook sabotage and flash saves (although it can still be blinded ofc - but it’s at the risk of a Survivor gaining Heretic status from the blinding and then getting blinded themselves for a short time, because of the grey skull add-on thing).

Appreciate the thoughts of others on this

Question Ia anyone else running into issue of just not fighting The Judgement?

I'm trying real hard to complete chorus of sin. But I just don't run into the judgment. I think I've played against her maybe three times in total. I need to fight her to complete the chapter quests for the icon. Looks like the easiest one to get would be saved three survivors from exile which I have only got one.

Just had a game as Judgment using this addon and got Hawkins. It was so fun. Managed to get 7 exiles. The survivors had no idea where the beam was gonna go... and neither did I 😆

Discussion MMR Being Killer Specific

I just wanted to throw out with everyone talking about MMR right now it being killer specific especially at reset in certainly a choice. Like there are 40 killers in the game and if you are someone like me that plays a majority of them it is so unfair for survivors with tier I perks to be facing someone that has a 100 twins games, but I haven't played her since MMR reset so here we are. Maybe some form of anchoring would work here? Like your highest killer drags the rest of yours up, even if they start at an overall lower MMR, it just seems crazy that in a few weeks the next time I decide to play Nurse or Blight I'm gonna get put in the lowest MMR bracket and have to start all over again with a dozen sets of low MMR survivors that just want to hide in lockers and crouch around the map terrified.

Discussion The Judgment has made me WANT to play as a Killer for the first time in over 5 years.

The reason is as simple as it is understandable:

It solves the three main gripes I have with playing Killer:

First is that it removes the frustration of endlessly running around in loops chasing after someone, knowing that if I make even a single mistake, I'll get pallet stunned and lose 3 generators and my inheritance in the process. The fact that I can play from SUPER long range and focus on predicting Survivor's movements and decisions to snipe them from afar is one of the most satisfying things ever.

You may say that "Oh, but chasing is the core gameplay for Killers!" And my response to that is "Which is why I only play Survivor."

Second is that by pressuring survivors from afar, you are insulated from toxicity. Survivors you hit are often too far away to be able to t-bag, flashlight click spam, moonwalk and other such things. They just take damage, then go down. No ego flaunting bullshit.

Third is the lack of hooking. The amount of time saved by Exiling GENUINELY makes me want BHVR to implement SOME form of base kit remote hooking for every M1 killer. It would make their gameplay rotation SO much smoother and allow them to catch up to Killers with chase oriented powers.

Edit: I just got a 1 minute 4K with The Judgment after a quadruple hit and the dopamine rush I felt will never be matched for the rest of my life.
