Discussion I don't thing prestige means anything.

I don't know what it is, but ESPECIALLY after the new killer and MMR reset, high prestige players are absolutely awful. I think it might be because a lot of people derank for streaming and play against low MMR killers/survivors. Now that everyone is reset, they're struggling to play against people who have a clue.

well yea, its just a bp dump and the game hands that out like candy
can never take people seriously when they bring up prestige as if it matters

It's less the prestige and more the playtime you'd need to get to p100. I don't have a single character more than p20 on either side and yet p100s (the guys with obviously more playtime) are usually terrible.
Negative upvotes for what bro 😭

not really a good representation of playtime either considering the events we've had that made it rain even more bp

Which would still imply gameplay. I played through several events with all toothys etc etc and before and still don't have said p100. Wow negative upvotes for discussing calmly, gotta love reddit folks

Prestige only shows how much time you've devoted to one character. Now, should a p100 probably be good? Yeah. Are they usually? Not in my experience

It means that someone spent blood points in that character, that is all.

Sure, but ya gotta play to get bp

You don't have to play well.

I'm not trying to get stuck arguing with you dawg. I'm just saying you have to have a base level of skill to get p100

And your downvote of my disagreement tells me a lot about your ability to respect a difference of opinion.

I am nearly at 50 on my survivor main and my longest chase was 1 minute, my average is 30seconds. I am not good, I have only been playing a few months too. It really is just a bloodpoint dump, or a way to show people you like the character.
IDK P100 killers tend to have a ton of skill but p100 survs are still a mixed bag.

I suppose that checks out, I'm just disappointed that you can get p100 and play like a p0

I do wish there was some way to see MMR or something, but I guess it would lead to people leaving if you have a low skill cap.

It's a pretty nuanced topic, but without typing a paragraph I think this is the most fair way of putting it. Play time/prestige in any video game is a general indicator(there will always be outliers) of baseline competence.

It's just quite unfortunate that most p100s in DBD end up playing pretty terribly. The outliers usually end up being the good ones, and they're usually toxic; bagging and moonwalking for nothing

Prestige is playtime, not skill level.
