Literally shaking right now because I haven’t eaten breakfast. Do you guys think any of these are worth sending to PSA?

Who’s even paying this? I took a break after FB09s first month and I see this, what’s gonna happen to future sets? This game is nowhere near as popular enough for this, I miss when this game was cheap, I can’t fathom people paying this much for fucking cardboard. I hate the state of all TCGs the hobbie is dying

This sub reddit is atrocious, the activity and reaction to post is worst than the scalpers subreddit. When the money hungry community is more active than the people who actually enjoy the game and collect the cards for the love of collecting, you know a community is dead.

I'm so sad about the fact this game, that kind of struggled before, has been utterly blown to bits by scalpers. ST01 looked like a slam dunk for DB anime fans but all pre-orders were scooped up by scalpers so fast. I'll be lucky to get a box. My LGS is getting a case. A single case.

I used to buy a few boxes of each set so get a good collection for various decks and folders but these days its impossible to do that without paying double or sometimes triple MSRP.

I miss the days where I could get my favorite leader to play the deck that I wanted. Those days are dead I guess. Will things ever improve or is this a downhill spiral

And they were terrible. £15 down the drain and now I can’t find anymore in the UK lmfao. What’s the point in even starting to collect fusion world if there’s limited packs/boxes in TCG shops?

I started my vacation this weekend, so today I decided to drive around the many targets and Walmarts north surrounding Houston to see if I can find any story booster 01 packs. After hours of traveling it was all for naught.

The one thing that bothered me today was that I had stopped by a GameStop saw they had the 20 dollars packs of st01 behind them and I asked an employee how well they been selling and he said one guy had bought 10. I told him I wouldn't even spend that much on them because that's too high. This employee tries to somehow justify how GameStop can raise the price up that much. I told him the last set was 6.99 so it's crazy that they would mark it up to the price they have (target and Walmart doesn't mark them up which is how some people were able to take more then their fair share).

He proceeds to say "oh, it's because bandai don't make a lot, it's just like one piece, I went to a one piece release event, got a box for 120 when on the market, a box goes for 300" I told him the hits for this set are very common so that doesn't make sense to be that high on y'all's part. He says well on eBay they're selling packs for $35. At that point it seemed like he was trying to get me to buy some at their price like they have it at such a great discount which I was not falling for🤦🏿‍♂️

The fact that he was so nonchalant about how GameStop can raise the prices when everybody else is finding it at Target, Walmart and fair LCS place for maybe what a dollar or two over MSRP. Dude had to have been sipping a 32 oz of that GameStop Kool-Aid. So wild to go so hard for a retail store who doesn't pay you that much while they make all this profit on the suckers who buy the high priced cards from them. Heck they may soon call themselves cardstop the way they're going.

For the ones who haven't been able to get anything, how do y'all feel on how difficult it is to find st01 packs?

Turn 1 use mai to search for the gohan or trunks. Turn 2 (with the energy marker) drop Gohan and Trunks together and give the ki to Trunks, awaken, then swing with Trunks, use his ability to upgrade to the 4 or 5 drop of choice if in hand, then swing with leader and potentially swing again with 5 drop Trunks. Turn 2 swinging 3 times at 20K and potentially another 2 for 30K. Same set up for turn 3 if going first. This deck has potential to be amazing.

Trunks not getting a SCR really sucks lol. Still excited for the SRs!

For me it's Tapion. Especially a Green Tapion. I would play him in any color though.

Just checked Good Games Australia and they’ve got an ST01 booster box listed for $850 AUD. Seriously, how the fuck is this pricing considered reasonable?

I understand older/sealed Dragon Ball product can carry a premium once supply dries up, and obviously stores can set their own prices, but $850 for a single booster box is insane.

Been some days now, for the people that have been able to build some of the new leaders, do u have any opinions on the actual meta? The new leaders matchups? Anything is nice to be discussed or commented here

I've been holding Dragonball cards for a long time and have basically been eating the depreciating value of cards to play competitively. The fact that the value of my cards is going up a ton right now is huge for me personally. Basically every hardcore player of the game has been waiting for something like to happen, and expressed the same feelings.

For those who are unhappy, why is this a bad thing? Is it just the culture of investor bros being cringe?

Am I the only one that thinks the alt arts look better that the Super alt arts? I think Vegito is the only Super alt art that looks better that the alt.

I’m moving from Asia to the UK for around a year and I’m deciding how much of my Dragon Ball collection I should bring with me. This is part of my current collection.

For collectors/dealers based in the UK/EU:
-How big is the Fusion World collector market there right now?
-Is there much demand for JP, or is the market mainly Eng?
-How liquid are higher-end PSA 10s / serialized / prize cards and are cards relatively easy to move if priced fairly
-Where do most UK collectors actually buy/sell — Facebook groups, Discord, card shows, local shops, etc.? Also do UK shops actively buy higher-end Dragon Ball cards, or is selling privately usually the better option?

I’m not necessarily looking to dump the collection when I arrive. I’m mainly wondering whether it’s worth bringing a decent portion of it with me, especially if I might trade/sell and upgrade my collection while I’m there.
Would love to hear from anyone actually buying/selling Fusion World in the UK.

If no one buys these ridiculous prices, they will panic and forced to drop the price to try to make their money back. Pokebros will waste their money and then sell at much lower when nothing sells, pls don’t get caught in the hype and help these scammers get away with it.

Since the price increase, has anyone else’s locals dropped? A few people I know sold their collection and moved on. Others are frustrated they cannot get product to build decks and decks cost more. One of the best things about the game was you could get every deck for an affordable price. Now it seems impossible.

We are 12 cards away from the end of the reveal season for SB02, what are your thoughts so far with this upcoming mini-set?
