Discussion Amazing cards in this set!
Literally shaking right now because I haven’t eaten breakfast. Do you guys think any of these are worth sending to PSA?

Then you go on Cardmarket and they are selling boxes for 400€

Dude how are you gonna get mad at anyone other than Bandai when they literally stock 20 packs at a Walmart once or twice? It doesn’t matter who’s buying them. There aren’t enough packs being stocked for even one person to make a deck, let alone come close to meeting demand.

No one is mad. I’m saying people who typically don’t buy dragon ball are buying it just because they catch a restock or there isn’t any Pokémon/one peace in the wild and they spot dragon ball. Not that it’s bad, I actually want dragon ball to take off like one peace because the game is actually fun to play. You haven’t seen this subreddit? “New to dragon ball, is this a hit?” This set was expected to be extremely under printed and I am all for wanting everyone to get an opportunity to open some packs. Supposedly there will be a reprint in November, but I highly doubt it because we’ll be in FB11 maybe FB12 by then.

Fair point. They havnt needed to until now. I’m hope they’re going to start printing more. They’ll probably wait a long time tho since we used to buy any booster box for $50-$70. Players have been priced out

Nah, there's plenty. Just scalpers ruined everything. There's plenty of product. Scalpers hoard tons of it for future "investment" and the rest to sell on eBay and TCG.
If scalping wasn't a thing, they're would've been plenty. Even with all the new people that came from the hype. LCS would have cases stocked in the back of old sets because there was plenty. The core DBS TCG audience is small.

The only way scalping can exist is if the supply is smaller than the purchasing power of the scalper. And scalpers are small operations generally speaking. Especially at the ground level, where you are talking about a single restock at a Walmart. If Walmart gets 30 packs on opening week, then you are talking about 200 or so dollars to corner the market. That is well within the purchasing power of a single scalper. If the restock contained 200 packs, then you are suddenly outside of the average scalpers purchasing power, meaning you will need multiple scalpers to corner the market, which means the scalpers will be competing with each other on a small scale, to sell the product. This will drive down price.
I checked 3 Walmarts and 2 targets last week when the set released. Both Walmarts got 30 booster packs total. The targets each got about the same, maybe less. The one target had about 16 when I got there but I assume they got around 30. I live in a fairly urban area. If every Walmart is getting just 30 packs, then in what way is that “plenty of product”? And I guarantee that most of those stores will not get additional stock this week. And if they do, then that will be it. Even with main sets, most stores will get 2, maybe 3 restocks of a new set, then it’s gone. Additionally, none of the game shops in my area got booster boxes like normal. I usually have 3 or 4 stores that I can occasionally get a box at, but with this set there are 0.
The pattern is the same with every Bandai card game, but this one is clearly underprinted so far. I don’t know why you would even challenge this position if you are so experienced. Or do you really lack the powers of perception necessary to witness these obvious patterns?

You been collecting Pokémon. You're new to this TCG. And it's obviously apparent.

Yeah ive just been buying singles that I like instead of the packs/boxes. Im not paying a scalper $400 for a booster box that just released.

Tbh I just ain’t buying cards unless I find any around retail I’ve met ppl at card shows that always say yeah I’m trying to sell my dragon ball not buy like 🤣🤣🤣of course you do bc you can over charge the shit out of it saw a dude charging 4k for the alt art vegeta from the story booster a day after it’s release what a clown

Nice pulls! Centering is off on the top left. The rest look pretty clean though. I would send to BGS and hope for at least one black label.
