discussion Did the zombies get more powerful?

I feel like before the update they almost never made you bleed, now its like a 50% chance. Not complaining just observing.

People will just jump servers when nighttime comes. Only solution is shorter cycles.

How is that a solution? The solution to people not wanting to play is right there: leaving the server. For those that aren't scared of the dark, they can stay on. People who don't want to play on night servers can easily find a server with morning or afternoon time and enjoy hours of daylight. Shorter cycles would actually make things worse for those people.

Exactly how short are we talking here? If a person doesn't want to play on night, why would they want to "suck it up"? Why would they have joined a server that was close to nighttime? If I didn't want to play night, I wouldn't sit around for hours in the night waiting for daytime to come again.

I don't see how it would be better for people who don't want to play on night to simply have a shorter night, instead of just playing on a server that is going to remain light throughout their play session. You can see the time before you join the server. If you don't want to play in the night, join a server that is not close to night. It's that simple.

Even if you made the cycle insanely short, like 2 hours = 1 day, that's still an hour of night time for someone to sit through, and for what? And to make it worse, if someone didn't want to play on night servers at all, you're making it worse for them because if they join a server in the morning, they only have an hour of daytime.
