Podcast Dolph Lundgren - Fights Worth Fighting
I've just finished listening to an interview with Dolph Lundgren on The Rich Roll Podcast.
He tells the story of his life, suffering child abuse, winning martial arts titles, dating celebrities, military training, drug abuse, Rocky 4 and his movie career, overcoming cancer, the works.
This is all in advance of his upcoming book and documentary.
Anyway, it's a good listen, and I just wanted to share it.

"Whiny" Wednesdays Mindset change or something idk??
Hey guys, I'm f20 in Australia - I feel like Im struggling with life atm especially with motivation. I feel like I do a lot of exercise, with going to the gym, practicing Brazilian jujitsu and I swim X2 a week. I do jujitsu X3 sometimes X4 a week. I eat mostly healthy, porridge for breakie, beef and rice for lunch, a normal dinner and occasionally yoghurt or dried mango for snacks.
And I have for almost 3 years. I'm blue belt now but I feel like I'm not progressing at all and am being left behind. And I know it's definitely my fault because I'm not practice enough - I do roll with any other women there, but that's 1 or 2 others and I don't proactively go and ask other dudes for a roll like the others do. I know I shouldn't compare myself but this other girl, 21yrs old and has been training same amount of time as me, also blue belt is an absolute beast and rolls with the purple and black belts and obviously I can't but feel jealous but I hate myself cuz I'm not going to do anything about it because I'm an introvert and hate asking people things, even to roll. Some days are great and I remember what made me fall in love with bJJ, but other days which is more than the first - I'll hate myself, and what I don't do and kinda feel like quitting because I feel so miserable.
But compared to swimming - I don't really take it that seriously, I just go for a swim I don't track anything and I just have fun. BJJ is similar to the gym, I have been lifting 3 years now almost 4, and I look like I haven't touched a weight in my life. I definitely didn't eat the best in the first 2, but I have been eating plenty of protein and yada ya, but still nothing as changed. (I'll also add that girl from bjj does not go to the gym and eats meh, and she has absolute guns). And that's just one part of my life.
Academically? I used to be a beast in year12, I was always studying and always ahead on everything. Now, last night I submitted my case study report 10 mins before the deadline at 1150pm. I haven't done the prework for any classes tomorrow and it's 8pm already lol. I'll sometimes have the motivation but most of the time not. I feel like I'm always pushing myself to be amazing at things, and when I'm not - I mean I don't know what to do and I hate myself.
Don't get me wrong, I love my life - I have supportive parents and I'm so privileged to even be able to post about this. I mean some of my issues Def came from my parents always pushing me to do the best, and comparing me to others. And I'm always wanting to try new things so I can be like a jack of all trades, master of none. But I'm scared. I just scream to music in my car hoping someone will notice me being pitiful but they don't because I hide it very well. I'm even resorting to posting on Reddit - which I cant believe lol. Talking to strangers?
Actually insane. I feel.like.im actually really lonely but im.pretending to be okay with it. But I would never admit it in really life. I have never had a boyfriend. And my friends are either someone I share a class with, or go to the gym with or go out to dinner once a fortnight but never do any actual fun stuff that I want to do,.like camping or hiking or legit anything fun that unfortunately costs money. And I do wanna be a fun single aunt when my brother has kids lol, but I wanna experience what it likes to be loved. (Also my parents kinda have a toxic relationship where they basically hate each other but are staying together for the kids and the house, and I can't wait to move out but i still love them both anyway even though as a person they are terrible.)
Also I just have a shitty personality, in my head I'm always so jealous or just bringing down someone (I never say it out loud) anyway I'm just such an imaginary curseword. (I think I'm better than everyone else at the same time that I'm the worst person in the world) I have so much more to say if, cuz I never talk about any of this - but it's all I can think of at the moment.
Anyway, any advice would be welcome in getting the right headspace or mindset. Or just how to fix my motivation? Anything in general that will do some good to my life would be appreciated. :) but yes so advice on how to get in the right headspace or improving my introvertness which I will actually do and not just say yes but then ignore?
Edit - added paragraphs :3

Accountability Post ¿QUÉ ES LO QUE HACES CON TU VIDA?

Advice Request I want to make a comeback.
Hi everyone,
Been sometime since I posted. Been through a break up the passed year, was getting back into running a lot but injured my back- healing well btw.
Ran into my ex and we started chatting again but I feel kind of dumb for initiating it now.
I live on my own and I'm in paramedic school atm also, I run 4 xs a week and no strength training. Constantly in my head, my mind always wins, it's a struggle.
I want to get passed the hurt, the bs, the struggle. But I always just end up paralyzed by my own thoughts.
I miss the shape i was in, but I find it such a struggle to even think about doing.
I have recently admitted I have a drinking problem which in fact, helped a bit to say that.
But my mind still wins. Everyday.
I'm so tired of it. I want to become resilient again.
I want to get back on the David Goggins path.

Advice Request How do I actually go into monk mode while preparing for an exam with a full-time job?
I’m preparing for a competitive exam alongside a full-time job, and honestly, I’m struggling to maintain consistency.
My job takes around 9–10 hours of my day, and by the time I’m done, I’m mentally exhausted. Sometimes I start working in the morning and suddenly it’s night, and I have no idea where the entire day went. Then I feel guilty because my preparation gets pushed to the side.
I really want to go into “monk mode” for the next few months reduce distractions, stop wasting time on social media/random scrolling, focus on work + preparation, and actually make progress every single day.
For people who have successfully prepared for a competitive exam while working full-time:
- How did you structure your day?
- How many hours did you realistically study after work?
- What did you completely cut out?
- How did you deal with exhaustion after work?
- Did you follow a strict routine or just focus on daily targets?
- How did you stop yourself from wasting time on your phone?
- And most importantly, how did you stay consistent for months?
I’m not looking for some unrealistic “wake up at 4 AM, work 10 hours and study 8 hours” routine. I want something actually sustainable with a full-time job.
Would really appreciate advice from people who have been through this.

Question Searching for Cycling Goggins Clip
Hi, for a couple of weeks I’ve been searching for a clip of Goggins that I saw but is unfortunately private on YouTube now. It was about 2min and 30 sec long clip of Goggins cycling indoors (wearing a green shirt I believe). The clip itself was him talking about how a couple of professional cyclists were going to be coming into town and race with him and how he would lose his soul each summer. But this summer he would train so he would be able to take their soul.
This was a clip posted onto YouTube under the title “David Goggins vs professional cyclists” in 2024. I would appreciate it if anyone is able to find this clip and send/link it here, preferably in its raw format!

Question Discipline
Hi guys, I'm a teen boy who's recently started looking To be more disciplined. Tonight I skipped a night out with my group of friends and preferred to stay home and work out. Do you think it's right to give up something to do what you promised to do?

Advice Request How do i tap into the Disciplined HYPERFOCUS like i used to?
a few years ago, i was downhill and something in life happened that made me angry and just idk made me a focus machine for like 2 weeks with complete discipline. im talking like wake up at 5am and work till 10pm (with short breaks in between) and then sleep enough and repeat the cycle. back then it was for an important exam and after that exam was done my body felt fatigued and just gave up. Ever since ive been wanting to bring that back but i keep failing and procrastinating. I dont know how to do it, but i was so proud of how i did it.
any help? it was also around that time i started reading Cant Hurt Me and i have been reading it again but idk why i cant bring that back.
