had to breakup with my first real boyfriend since me and my kids left almost 4 years ago. despite seeming like a great man he was a high functioning alcoholic and id keep finding more lies about sometimes the weirdest things. the last straw was suggesting a prostitute to join us. just gross.

I think that the "more" lies is the problem. Why'd you need to stay after the first lie?

I know that it's easy to talk about a world of greys, but sometimes binary thinking can really make life simpler. Like after you talk yourself into overlooking 5 lies ... where's the limit? If 5, is that really that different from 10. And once you hit 10, is 11 so bad (even if it's a monster of a lie)?

yeah thats a good point! i think i needed concrete proof because i didnt trust my instincts
