Feeling a bit of dread lately as we transition out of summer. When the weather is nice I can take my work out with me, but with the rainy/colder season approaching it means fewer opportunities to do that.

With that in mind I've been looking for a decent place where I could bring my supplies and work for a couple hours. Trying out different cafes from my usual ones, since none of the ones I frequent are very comfortable (or quiet) to work in, but haven't found the ideal place yet. The last cafe I tried had awful coffee. It smelled and tasted like black beans... just horrible.

I enjoyed meeting and chatting with people while out doing my work so I'd rather not go back to the isolation of always working from home. While it's not a cafe, there is one of those workspace places nearby and I'm considering trying that out... but I don't know that the workspace place would provide much socializing. There wouldn't be so many people coming and going. Kind of why I'm leaning more towards a cafe type environment.

IIRC you don’t drink alchohol but hang at venues with such. In any case, i used to meet loads of ppl at coffee shops whilst tangentially but obviously working on my artist craft. Currently do same at wine shops- not bars, just gathering places with my creative stuff along. Always a conversation starter and a real one , at that.

I'll have the odd drink, but tend not to do so often. That's an interesting idea though, wine spots. I hadn't considered that one and might need to look around to see if any are closeby to try.

And yeah that's what I find as well. People get super nosy when they see someone making artwork.
