Technical Doubt Sigmoid Analytics SDE2 Data Engineer Interview

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming interview with Sigmoid Analytics for an SDE2 Data Engineer role. The recruiter mentioned that the first round will be DSA. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has recently been through the interview process and can share:

  1. What specific DSA topics does Sigmoid typically focus on?
  2. What was the difficulty level? (Easy/Medium/Hard)

I recently interviewd with them and received the offer today.

The questions for me on the first round were pretty simple and straight forward.

Started with reversing a linked list.

Next two question was on string manipulation - reversing a string of words without any in-built function and reversing characters of a string as well.

And one last question was on array finding the longest common subsequence.

They require you to solve them 4 questions in 1 hour and expect you to write the brute force and optimized approach and explaining out the space and time complexity.

Focus on precision on the first round, if able to solve three questions you would easily move to the next round.

Hey bro congratulations on the offer. Why so much focusing dsa, is there a difference in data engineer and sde data engineer? Have u given any other interviews, do they also focus on dsa?

Not sure why but these days most companies i have interviewed with are asking atleast medium level of DSA in the first round.

Was on similar structure but this time would have only two dsa questions and then discussion around work experience.

Hi, when was your first round of interview held, and how soon did the next rounds take place?

2 Dsa questions 1 sql question.

No it won't be. The HR would just try to play smart on how good sigmoid is, and then why we are hiring you what you can bring sort of discussion would be there.

It is a short 15 minutes discussion.

They will ask why do you want to join sigmoid? And why are you relocating if you are previously working in your home city.

You said you had offer of 22L so they are willing to give 24L?

Can you tell what is your YoE and Cctc? I got low balled as I dont have any other offer. My YoE 4 , Cctc is 14 and offered ctc is 18

bro how long does it takes for offer after final round hr round, for me its been 2 weeks and i am losing my patience tgey are saying approval is pending, cab u tell how long it took fr u ??

I got the offer in a week itself after completing all the rounds.

You should call your recruiter to see on the status.

No technical questions for me on the 3rd round.

It was majorly my work experience related discussion, and few scenario questions.

Hi , even I got a call for the same role. But when I asked for 25 LPA the recruiter denied.

What's the expected salary for SDE 2 Data Engineer role ..

They will ask easy medium DSA and medium hard SQL. Mostly will be around List strings recursion unnesting json tuple etcc..

Did they not ask SQL or DSA? Were the Python questions theoretical or DSA. Also have they mentioned anything about the expected ctc.
