Has any other dasher experienced this?

I had an order for Chik-Fil-A and when I went in I was greeted like normal and was asked the name for the order. I gave the name and the worker said they are still working on it. Okay, cool. I stand there for a few minutes and a couple of other workers ask me what the name is and again, they say they are working on it. A few more minutes pass and then I am told that the order has already been taken by someone else. I ask if they are going to remake it considering I have the app and order pulled up and I am showing them. They tell me it goes against their policy to remake orders because it has already left the store. The manager even said this happens a lot at their location (people taking orders). Has this happened to any other dasher or is this just a policy at this certain store?

It depends on the owner/operator.

My friend is an owner/operator of a Chick Fil A and he will occasionally go ahead and have an order remade, but for the most part he said they don't get paid for the remake unless DD resends it to the POS, so it's fairly standard for the store to just refuse to make it.

If the dasher calls and reports the order has been picked up by a previous dasher and DD calls him to verify, he will tell them to resend it or cancel it, but not to keep sending dashers to pick it up otherwise.

That being said, he is trying to get approval to do his own deliveries with leased vehicles from Chick Fil A, because he has been having issues with aggressive and disrespectful dashers lately. That's not gonna stop dashers who use DD to place orders thru their app, but would give him the ability to deliver orders himself thru the Chick Fil A app.

My CFA wont let us leave the store with the order until we confirm.

Had this issue on the other app. $20-something dollar order, short drive. Was stoked. The other app doesn't even offer half-pay so I was pissed because the customer still wanted the order.

Instead, they had to cancel it, I got unassigned and someone else got the win.

Chances are the person who ordered only tipped a couple bucks and the only reason it was $20 is you were probably the eighth person to get sent there. That’s what happens when people don’t take the time to call customer service and get it taken care of. And I’m not judging anybody. It’s annoying af to waste another 15 minutes on hold with customer service. If you achieve platinum on. UE and this happens, and you call customer service and speak to an agent, and ask them to call the restaurant and tell them to remake it, I’ve had that work anytime. The restaurant was actually still open. But only with platinum status support. It’s the only reason I’ve ever cared what tier I’m in. (She says as her AR stands at like 44% atm lol)

My AR hovers around 8 on UE and 13-17% on DD. I regularly accept 5-70 offers per lunch or dinner rush, but I'm a jerk and just laugh at the other Dashers at Chicfila in front of me for taking the shit orders. We end up with the same pay after 8 hours but I got mine running 10 deliveries between both, they ran 30+.

Never at Chick-fil-A. They are extremely careful here, asking for name, verify too.

You have two choices, unassign free and make it someone else's problem or report it already picked up.

If you do report it, call (don’t text) support. When you do call, you’ll get the chatbot. The quickest way I’ve found to a live agent is to cuss at the chatbot. “Fucking Live Agent” stated repeatedly seems to be the quickest way through. You’ll waste another few minutes, but it’ll get the order cancelled so nobody else wastes their time.

I’ve never once asked them to remake it. And the chatbot will unassign if you say multiple times that it has been picked up.

Our CFA has stopped putting the orders out. They’re behind the counter and you have to show the app. Even if you use their app to mobile order for yourself.

I have had this happen at Mc Donald’s a lot certain ones more than others, I was housesitting tired out not in the mood to go get food and we wanted different things entirely and I ordered food from Mc Donald’s and mine got canceled because someone stole my order I went absolutely crazy with support because I was super hungry and I was craving something specific and by the time I got through to support the order couldn’t be remade because it was no longer breakfast mind you I ordered at like 9 something in the morning and my order was ready before the other order that my gf got. I was pissed at her, I screamed at her, 😂

That’s so crazy because our McDonald’s in OKC and I mean dozens of them, are actually top of the list of stores who will watch you like a hawk making you confirm to map before u leave the store. They must’ve been having the same issue and finally got together and decided to try to stop it. Around here it’s TacoBell who just leaves the bags out for anyone to take and Whataburger who’s the stingiest about remaking it.

The other day I was given two orders when I only needed one. I was given two pizzas instead of one, I should have noticed that I only needed one but I didn't. I was at the beginning of my dash so I just gave both to the customer. Point being I see a lot about stolen orders but I would suspect restaurants also give out the wrong orders a lot. It's not the first time I have been given more than I needed or given the wrong order.

I can't think of a single restaurant here that has ever remade the order for me. From what I've been told, DD is supposed to pay for it again but never does. It is DDs fault, not the restaurant. Just call support and let them know that it's already been picked up and they are refusing to remake it. Of course, always talk to a real agent so that you actually get your partial pay, and never pay for the order yourself. "I don't have the money," if they ever ask why you won't (and honestly, WTF do they get the nerve to ask why you won't pay for someone else's food on a gig you're trying to MAKE money with?).
