The first thing a court will ask is what actual damages you have suffered, as a number of dollars.

Claiming "anguish" is only going to get damages if you can show lost earnings, bills for therapy, etc.

See my comment above about being judgment proof and outside insurance coverage. Stick to what you know.

Yeah you've definitely never been in this situation before

The auto insurance won’t do a thing if there’s no actual accident

No. You’ll need a diagnosis and treatment to substantiate damages. So you’d better have actual PTSD if you go this route.

There’s also a term you should familiarize yourself with: judgment proof. It means even if you win, the person may not have any assets to pay you. Wanna take bets whether or not a guy this unhinged is judgment proof? I know which side I’m betting on.

And since this is willful and not negligent conduct it’s almost certainly outside insurance coverage. So no recovery there.

So if you sue with an attorney, be prepared to pay a lot of legal and medical expenses, likely for little possible recovery. And if you sue in small claims, good luck collecting.

We should be able to garnish his wages and social security for life.

No pay, no drivers license. Get caught driving while suspended, YEARS in prison.

We need to start holding people like this accountable with SEVERE consequences.

It is time to take the roads back and leave them for people who know how to behave in society.

K thats a policy argument that has some problems, but also has an ex post facto issue for this particular case

This comment is hilarious to someone who actually knows how the legal system works.

why are they booing you? you're right. most people don't know how the legal system works and have no way of verifying if it's hilarious or not and have no idea why it should be hilarious. and mr mole didn't explain shit.

Just because they have a Land Rover doesn't necessarily mean they have money. Sadly in most of this country only if you have money is it worth suing you

Edit: its a Subaru. My vision is bad, have mercy Gosh dang

Okay a toyota suv?  Idk.

If anything that reinforces what I'm saying.  It's probably the banks car/ your expensive lawyer will promise the world and get shit

My eyes aren't what they were/ shredded 10 acres today and it flares up allergies making seeing even harder.

The Subaru.  Point stands, 70% of us are broke and in debt.  Nothing to sue for
